I got my replacement Xbox One S this morning. The previous Xbox One S that was sent to me was defective. Everything booted up fine and had no problem connecting this Xbox One to the internet while having 2 Xbox Ones on the same network. It's running all the updates and downloads now. I knew it wasn't that difficult to hook up a second Xbox One on the same network Thank you everyone for your help.
I just purchased the evil within for 15 bucks. This game is kicking my ass and I'm not even to the title credits yet.
just bought Tony Hawk 5. I don't think it will be that great, but its hard to make tony hawk suck. The nostalgia factor was worth $30.
Such a creepy story. I loved that game. And it's Bethesda so try to set your graphical expectations aside.
SSX is now free through EA Access. The best deal on the Xbox One is getting better. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-ones-ea-access-adds-another-free-game-to-its-/1100-6442521/
This is some amazing news....hopefully its actually true. http://venturebeat.com/2016/08/11/t...campaign-is-more-half-life-than-call-of-duty/
need a gaming headset. not looking to spend over $100, but I'd like something good that preferably doesn't need an adapter. link recommendations here so I can buy through the TMB amazon code
You might need to buy the Xbox headset if you aren't getting the adapter. Anything that isn't Xbox specific isn't likely going to have the adapter I'd think
I believe these are the only nice one that come with the adaptor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00I...ne+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41K9RkBzEFL&ref=plSrch https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Q...ne+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41eEwyZ+lPL&ref=plSrch https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Q...ne+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41pUFq8fErL&ref=plSrch (You'll see this one has 4 options) Otherwise you're in need of the adaptor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00I...ne+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41o4iureoNL&ref=plSrch Or chatpad/adaptor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B013...ne+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41XRXu-CCfL&ref=plSrch At least on the older controllers you need that, I don't have any newer ones to know if they need it. If you do the adaptor I have this and like it (it's held up since the PS4 came out with regular use and I use it on both XB1 and PS4 and it plays system audio through them): https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E...words=px22&dpPl=1&dpID=51LZuLyZuxL&ref=plSrch
SugarShaun what do you mean by new/old controller? I have the day1 controllers. are there other ones that are not the "elite"
SugarShaun when I do the math, its about $75 for the one you have + the adapter and $110 the turtle beach XOseven. I know I said I didn't want to spend over $100, but is it worth it?
http://shop.turtlebeach.com/us/headsets/xbox-one/xo-one This one is dope. I broke mine cause I was raging but way better than the standard Xbox One thing I have now
Around this time last year MS started putting a 3.5mm headphone jack right in the controller. So you wouldn't need the adapter to use something like regular headphones or any 3.5mm headset. There's an even newer controller that just came out with the S console that has bluetooth to work with PC's/tablet/whatever and supposedly up to twice the wireless range of the old controllers.
Don't think that's odd at all and I agree with it. I like being able to mute my mic in an instant instead of reaching for the in-line mute on my headset cord. But people made a huge fuss out of having to pay $25 for an adapter to do something the PS4 controller already allowed and they had to incorporate it. Prominence Poker (free) came out tonight: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/prominence-poker/bxt6td05q930 My friends and I used to love playing Full House Poker on the 360 and the last couple poker games that have come out for the 360 and the X1 were awful (either slow or just poor performance). They've all been free (the money is made in the microtransactions for in-game chips) so I guess that's the excuse but they've all been pretty much unplayable. Friend and I tried out Prominence Poker when it unlocked at midnight tonight and I think it'll work out just fine. Games move quickly and the controls are a little different than you might expect for a poker game but we'll get used to that. Something interesting though... there seems to be a glitch in the pricing for their chip bundles. It's $0.99 for 10k chips, $2.99 for 27.5k chips and then the next package is 65k chips and it's currently also only $0.99. I think it was supposed to be $5.99 and someone entered it wrong. The 750k chip bundle is $50 but you can get more than 750k chips for about $12 if you bought 12 of the 65k chip bundles. Since I'm fairly certain it's a glitch they'll correct quickly I took advantage of it by picking up 650k chips for about $10. I figure I would have paid $10-15 for this game anyway so why not put that money into glitched chip bundles and have a nice jump start.
Anyone play the one s in 4k yet? Just got a 4k tv and thinking of getting it for 4k player and play upscaled 4k games
Mine arrives next week. I'm buying for UHD blu ray playback, already have an xbox one downstairs on the main tv.
So I did the Xbox share thing with my friend it's worked for a few days but today when I tried to play both NBA and NHL, it tells me I need to sync the game. Now it's failed and gives me the option "try again" or "use offline" Anyone know what to do?
Titanfall 2 Beta was out last weekend and is doing a second weekend this Friday-Sunday. Doesn't seem like a lot changed but I was loving the new elements. I'm sure I will end up getting it.
I don't know what happened with titanfall but I put at least 20 hours into the closed alpha of titanfall but less than 5 hours into the actual game when it came out.
not enough replay value. can't eplain why it just gets stale quick. but from the small amount of tit2 i've played it's going to be so much better.

I think I "prestiged" once in Titanfall 1. I was definitely bored by the end. Its gonna be tough to knock out a bunch of hours considering BF1 and GoW4 but I'll definitely pick it up. Also - EA Access! I will sell Titanfall 2 as soon as its on EA access and recoup some "losses." Also, EA access released all the DLC for free at some point for Titanfall 1. So yeah. Probably gonna take the same path.
I had over 2 weeks of actual in-game time in Titanfall 1. I'm pretty sure I was the first person in the world to 1,000 goosers (goosers are when you killed an ejecting pilot in the air - people bitched and moaned so much about having to get 50 to go past gen 5 that they lowered it so you only needed 5 - when I stopped playing I had over 2,500). I remember being absolutely wowed by how smooth and natural the movement in Titanfall 1 felt during the beta. I wasn't hyped for the game at all despite all the rave reviews it was getting from the various gaming conferences but when I played the beta I finally understood and was hooked. The Titanfall 2 tech test did not feel like Titanfall at all. Clunky, slow movement compared to the first one. Weird method of earning your titan that I didn't quite understand. I was getting 1-2 titans a game so it wasn't as bad as the people who bitched about not even getting 1 in some games but it was definitely weird. In Titanfall 1 it was very simple. You had a timer at the start of the match to when you'd earn your titan and with everything you did (killing AI, killing pilots, killing titans, etc.) it came right up on your screen. -10 sec., -5 sec., whatever which cut down your titan earn time. I have no idea what the method is in Titanfall 2. It's objective based but it'll take some figuring out. They seemed to change a lot of stuff that no one who stuck with the game felt needed changing. And for those of you who bailed early on the first one the game evolved extremely well over time with pretty much monthly updates that added new things. The state that Titanfall 1 ended in is where Titanfall 2 should have started but they changed so much it doesn't even feel like Titanfall anymore. It feels like a game somewhere between Halo 5 (which was way too clunky for me with regards to its movement) and Black Ops 3 (not as smooth as Titanfall 1 but much smoother than Halo 5 and I've spent more time on this COD than I have any COD since MW3). The developers say they've heard the complaints from the first weekend and will be tweaking things for the second weekend and moving forward but I'm pretty close to canceling the pre-order I made as soon as it was available.
The movement is what made titanfall so great so that's sad to hear. I hope they get it back to where it was in the first one
Unfortunately the developers seem to feel that gunfights were too unpredictable due to the movement speed in the first one which is why your pilot in Titanfall 2 feels almost weighed down. The thing for me is... slowing it down is fine. But the inconsistencies are what bugs me. The wallrunning in Titanfall 2 is probably what feels clunkiest. It's like you can feel yourself attaching to the wall and then, inexplicably, you're suddenly faster. They're trying to control the speed in certain areas and allowing you to build momentum/speed in other areas but it doesn't actually make sense. But hey, look at some of the other people in this thread. They bailed early on Titanfall 1 and think Titanfall 2 looks good. So if the developers are trying to win back the people who gave up then I guess they may succeed. But they could lose the people who played the first one most in the process. I went into the tech test with a very open mind despite all the awful reviews from other hardcore Titanfall players and my post there is pretty tame in comparison to some of the stuff others have said about the way this game feels in its current state. Like I mentioned though, the developers are listening and will be making some tweaks that will hopefully be in effect for this weekend's test and if not then maybe for a later beta before the actual release. A lot of people are actually hoping for a delay at this point to get things back on track. Edit: Just checked the Titanfall subreddit for the first time since before I played the tech test and one of the linked articles is actually titled "Titanfall 2 feels like a game designed by people who hated the original." So, yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Also, here's the blog from Respawn talking about some of the changes they are making based on the early feedback... http://www.titanfall.com/en_us/news/tech-test-and-feedback/ Just browsing the Titanfall subreddit a bit more and there are like half a dozen Respawn employees posting on there so they're well aware that they dun goofed a bit.
The only things I disagree with are: 1. That "Titanfall 2 feels clunky and not like Titanfall" which I wholeheartedly disagree. 2. Black Ops 3 is smoother than Halo 5? What? Black Ops has the worse free funning feel in the world and Halo 5 only has a wall climb/clamber type of which is incredibly fluid. Could be a personal feeling with "smoothness" I guess but I can't speak to good gameplay methods etc cause you clearly played more than I. Could be own personal preferences with fluidity and smoothness
Has to be personal preference cuz I find BO3 super smooth. I feel like I'm in control. AW was god awful and felt stiff and awkward. I've played TF2 alpha for a few days. Don't hate it but to me it feels slower than BO3.
