I didn't do COD for COD 4. MW2 was my first and most played. I liked MW3 a lot and played the shit out of it for MOAB's but still didn't play it as much as MW2. Treyarch's games are just a mess when it comes to online play for whatever reason.
EA SPORTS FIFA @EASPORTSFIFA 9m9 minutes ago Almost time... #FIFA16Demo available from September 8: http://o.ea.com/42280
the extensive gaming sessions with the mainboard on MW2 throughout my entire senior year of college is probably my fondest video game memory, literally every night I got high and played. I was also pretty fucking good. damn life was simpler back then
I'm ready for all these games to drop, excited for FIFA obviously then battlefront and Halo to get back into shooters.
That's the deal breaker for me in moving forward with purchasing said title. Eh, fuck it, might as well make provisions to move on. What other multiplayer games do you lot normally play on here short of Madden?
Fifa, Madden, Battlefield (4 and Hardline), World of Tanks, Smite, Plants vs Zombies, NHL, Star Wars: Battlefront, Halo, and Rainbow Six: Seige
RS Vegas 2 was one of my favorite shooters ever. Hope siege lives up to the hype and wish the division would hurry the hell up and come out
I quit playing COD when they started the Exo suit bullshit. People turning invisible and then jumping 40 feet in the air is just too much for me. Been playing a lot of Battlefield. Can't wait to go grab Madden soon. Need to trade in my COD Advanced Warfare with it.
Yeah its a "MOBA" style game.....so League of Legends, DOTA 2, Heroes of the Storm....all very similar to Smite but they aren't on console.
Smite is perfect for console because of its third person over the shoulder camera and fast paced combat and movement unheard of in MOBAs.
Bro. Black ops 2 was the best. More people are playing that game currently over both ghosts and advanced warfare. I loved the beta. Guns felt great, hit detection was back to being normal, and the movement was smooth. The Xbox is having trouble with the beta not treyarch. The beta went 6 days without a hitch on the ps4. But now that it's on a toaster, shit hits the fan.
You know I know about the love for BO2. Black Ops 2 had incredible map design and well balanced guns/perks/streaks. It was a blast to watch competitively but I absolutely hated playing it online. That's kinda become a theme for me with COD. Ghosts seemed more fun to watch than AW has been outside of a few "wow" moments but that could be because I never even considered buying AW. After you've experienced buttery smooth gameplay on Azure servers with Titanfall the inconsistent diarrhea you have to deal with on COD games just isn't worth my time or frustration. I will spend some of my time watching others be frustrated with it online and then watch them compete on LAN but I can't stand playing them anymore. Edit: and your movement being smooth thing just goes to show how you either didn't play Titanfall at all or didn't play it enough. The movement in BO3 is exactly how I feared the movement would be in Titanfall - clunky.
I miss Titanfall. Flying around the map at will to flank the opposing team and smart pistol them all to death before they even knew you were there is a uniquely awesome feeling
This just isn't true. I have been following it pretty closely because I want COD to be good. PS4 had a number of server issues. Its not that hit detection was ever bad, guns felt bad, etc. for me, its that they haven't changed a single core element, haven't updated the engine, and haven't gotten dedicated servers (in a world where they are common in big name games) in 6 years. By comparison, BF4 has 100% dedicated servers and updated its engine to Frostbite 3 (BFBC = Frostbite 1, BF3 = Frostbite 2). Halo and Gears have 100% dedicated servers. Halo has changed its engine with every new game that has been released. If you love COD, thats perfectly fine. I love Halo and I would jump if it told me to. Just don't try to tell me that COD is cutting edge, moving forward, top of the line, etc. cause its pretty obvious that isn't true.
speaking of xbox live messages, I am pretty sure I am currently the commish of a public online dynasty in NCAA 14. I sold the game shortly before the XB1 released, yet even today I get messages from people asking when the week will be advanced.
Picked up Gears yesterday and it's great. I did forget how much multiplayer relies on being first to the sniper/hammer. GT: Stonedkiller6 (high school me thought that was awesome)
You're right I didn't play titanfalll. After playing AW, BO3 feels smooth. Maybe that's just from playing the jerky movement of dashing every direction from 30 feet in the air. I feel like this game will be so good for competitive. The pros are excited and now they actually have LAN.
Treyarch had server issues from the traffic or adding more. Nothing was a PS4 issue. Xbox is completely fucking up the beta for live members. They screwed up with the codes and the game keeps crashing. Both are not treyarchs fault and Xbox released statements about the issues. COD had dedicated servers in black ops 2, advanced warfare, and for this upcoming game. COD has changed as much as halo has over the years .
RWisoursavior and Super Vegeta You pronounce my GT "I be sponge worthy" it's a Seinfeld reference that comes from my original GT. My original name was "imspngwrthy = I am sponge worthy" but unfortunately I lost all my user info and had to make a new name.
They use a hybrid system where "certain" games are played on dedicated servers. If you aren't close to the dedicated servers, you don't use them. They call them "listen servers" Article explaining PC will have 100% dedicated servers for BO3 Article explaining "listen servers" I am talking about the ENGINE each game uses. Call of Duty uses the same engine (with minor updates) for every single game. edit: if there is ever any "host migration" thats not a dedicated server. It happens all the time on COD
The code redeeming thing was likely on Xbox but the game is crashing and having plenty of issues on high-end PC's as well.
Made a montage of the first 2 days highlights. Hateshield engaged. Just playing around with Upload studio.
Started my download about 5 or so hours ago. Just now at 36%. It's going sooooooooo slow. Does XBOX cap download speeds? At 55 mbps (usually 6.7 to 7.1 MB/s), this should have been done hours ago. Not gonna get to play tonight :(
just bought the 1tb Madden 16 edition. Amazon will deliver it on Saturday. Hope I made the right decision. I'd been holding out on getting one, knew I didn't want a PS4. Have a Wii U and a 360. But Star Wars Battlefield looks to be killer and good Madden reviews suckered me in.
The download speed is very inconsistent on the X1. I used to very rarely max out my 50mbps connection and since I've upgraded to 110mbps I still seem to reach about a 55mbps usage max while downloading something but that's at its absolute fastest. My friend who also has over a 100mbps connection said he saw something one time from Xbox Support saying they cap it at 54mbps. I've never seen anything official on that but I don't think I've seen higher download speeds than that looking at the traffic monitor on my router so I tend to believe it.
Also, not sure if this will work but I am the greatest Black Ops 3 player on the planet... https://account.xbox.com/en-us/game...ium&scid=28160100-d896-4a85-a88d-2fc739b703e2 Derp.
I'm loving Madden so far. Really enjoy it more than last years. I'd give it an 8.5/10. You need to try out Ultimate Team....thought I would hate it but I'm totally sucked in.
Is black ops 3 still doing the jet pack stuff like advanced warfare? This might be the first COD game I'll skip since 2007. I want a remastered CoD4 or a new game set in the past. Kinda tired of the future fps stuff. I'm making an exception for Battlefront, obviously
