Just saw Lyon accepted a £25mil bid for him but he rejected :idk:

Maybe life at Lyon is just too sweet right now. Last place finishers in their champions league group, 9th place in Ligue 1 and having half the amount of points as PSG would be hard to leave behind IMO.

I think Fekir is the clear winner here. It's a shame for Lyon that he got hurt. The could have had two massive paydays if he stayed healthy. Instead his knee ligament lost them at least £50 million. I'd love for Arsenal to put a bid in on him in the summer for a broken discount and he'd know our medical team would get him back on the pitch ASAP. Hell, wouldn't mind Lacazette for £25 considering what Martial cost.

£80 for Martial, Lacazette has more goals in one season than what Martial has in his career. Just thinking about it a bit more, there's no way they accepted a £25 bid for him. If he rejected it, it was the right call because he can go to at least 20 other clubs in Europe that are in better shape than Lyon. Has to be a planted number by Lyon to start the bidding though. Going to assume he is gone this window. Pool or United wouldn't shock me.

Between those two, if he has any sense...he would pick Liverpool. Even without LvG and his unappealing system for strikers, Rooney is undroppable until he breaks their goals record. Newcastle should go after Benteke if that happens.

Martial is like 19 though. I still think the Martial purchase was perfectly fine.

Don't disagree he just turned 20. AL is only 24 though too. Not like he's going on 30. You're still purchasing a solid 5 or 6 years of prime production. I just think 25 is too cheap.

Fwiw United only paid £36m for Martial but the deal has the potential to grow to £58m based on performance.

It's crazy thinking about how everyone was thinking Monaco would compete with PSG in ways of scoffing at Financial Fair Play but I doubt there are more than a few teams that have made more money from selling players than them the last three years. They even were able to limit their loses with Falcao not one but two seasons in a row. Getting Chelsea to loan in Falcao was some Jedi Mind trick shit.

They'd likely be another Chelsea/PSG/Man City if their owner didn't have to deal with a $4.5 billion divorce settlement.

Assuming that's supposed to be billion or else he's operating on some crazy thin margins. I was rooting for it to get out of hand because those other clubs had pretty decent fan support before they were drenched in cash. Their fanbase would be almost entirely shameless bandwagoners and that would have been hilarious. Lots of people were going to lie about following them way back in the early Wenger/Henry years.

PSG are only 45 years old so I'm guessing they've got a proud history of bandwagoning as well.

Oops, billions. Biggest divorce settlement ever.

Chelsea had decent fan support and were fighting for European spots before Daddy Roman came along, City was a typical mid to bottom level EPL club before the oil money came in and their fan support still isn't all that great.

Too bad they couldn't stick it out together. Based on the early moves for players they made, it would have almost certainly gone well. Maybe Everton lucked out because signing John Stones from Barnsley could have been on the to do list after getting James and Martial.

Pardew simultaneously slamming Neil Warnock and any idea that Palace will target Charlie Austin in the window. The man is a top class cunt, and I mean that as a total compliment.

Can you imagine how good Palace would be if their strikers actually scored goals? So far in the Premier League, they only have 1 goal from a striker. Connor Wickham, he scores when he wants.

Yeah, they've scored even less than Manchester United. Pretty pitiful offensive output. Maybe he should consider a move for Austin. His pride won't let him at this point though, after publicly shitting on Neil like that.

Adebayor doing his best Terrell Owens impression. Someone sign that man up, he's looking fit as a fiddle.

Just read a rumor mill where Barcelona are going to shell out £100 for Aaron Ramsey and John Stones at 50 mil each. Sounds legit to me.

Apparently Gerard Pique did a recent interview where he said he was impressed with Stones. Barca do like a player that isn't afraid of doing Cruyff turns in his own box.

The Stones hype has been pretty consistent the last few months but Ramsey for that price tag seems to come from out of the blue. Hasn't he been injured a lot this season? I do like him a lot as a player. When he's healthy, he is what I wish Michael Bradley could be. But that's getting pretty close to Paul Pogba money.

If Pogba actually traded on the market it wouldn't be anything less than 70-80M I believe. 50M does seem rather high for Ramsey, he does have a fairly checkered history of injury but when on top of his game is a very good midfielder. Transfer money has gotten silly lately though so who the fuck knows? Arsenal would likely try and resist any transfer attempt so Barca would have to pay over the odds to get him if they actually covet him.

Speaking of Barcelona and Arsenal midfielders, is Jack Wilshere still playing professional soccer? He makes Ramsey seem like an indestructible tank.

It will be a shock if he even makes the squad in his current form, and a fucking travesty if he takes any pitch time away from more talented options like Alli or Barkley.

Such perfect timing to be viewing the top transfer rumors of the day. Couldn't help but have a good laugh at the rumor saying Chelsea are eyeing up the Ox as a potential replacement for Hazard should he leave. With their current form it would actually be a like for like swap.

    http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...di-mondays-top-transfer-stories-a3153691.html

Next up, and Chelsea have been claimed to be tracking Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard, who continues to find himself linked to Real Madrid.

According to The Sun, former Blues manager Jose Mourinho was keen on recruiting Oxlade-Chamberlain during his tenure at the club, and the publication believe that that interest has not gone away despite the Portuguese tactician's departure.

With the Arsenal winger having endured a difficult few years due to injury and a lack of starts, The Sun claim Chelsea could step up their efforts to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain should Hazard leave the champions as PSG and Real continue to hover around the Belgian.

Wouldn't be surprised if he followed Pep to Man City. Don't know how that would go down with Aguero, but Bony sure as hell would be looking for a new team. I don't think Pep will be interested in keeping him regardless.
