In the wtf category, Marco pappa apparently got stabbed by miss Washington http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/01...ala-mid-pappa-stabbed-by-miss-washington-usa/
LAG traded their only pick in the draft for more Allocartion/Target Allocation money which will likely be used in Ashley Cole. Draft is becoming less of a focus for teams with a top notch academy system.
Which of the drafts with ATL UTD be allowed to participate in? And when is it? nevermind I found it....
Atlanta United has signed Charleston as an affiliate for 2016 and with the option for future seasons. Looks like Atl will be signing a few players this season and loaning them out to Charleston.
D.C. United releases new stadium renderings By Ryan Tolmich 13 hours ago D.C. United’s new home may be several years away from completion, but the club’s latest release has offered a better look at what exactly can be expected from the Buzzard Point project. Expected to open in 2018, the stadium was the subject of several renderings released Tuesday, offering a look at D.C. United’s plans for the club’s new home. The stadium is within walking distance to the home of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals and the Navy Yard–Ballpark station of the Washington Metro. The city and club announced in September that the city had filed for eminent domain to acquire several acred of land Buzzard Point to be used for the new stadium. Since the team’s inception in 1996, the club has played out of RFK Stadium. Here’s a closer look at several other renderings of the club’s new home:
That looks great. I've played in high school arenas better than their current setup though so anything's an improvement
Should be on ESPN3 this season. They didn't get it set up in time for last season. http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2014/...ia-rights-deals-mean-match-streaming-mls-live http://worldsoccertalk.com/2015/02/...ip-with-espn-leads-to-further-disappointment/
If New England could get a stadium after DC United that would make me very happy. It's one of the last ones that I hate to watch on TV because it looks so over sized.
Yeah I'd seen that but there really hasn't been any news on whether it'll be on ESPN3 this year and it appears you can still purchase MLS Live. Hope it's on ESPN though.
Along with 1/4 of the season having the NFL lines painted in, so awkward to watch on tv. At least the 1/4 of the season in Seattle has enough fans to deal with the lines, but New England has 1/3 the fans and it comes off horrible for the league when they have a prime time game.
Jordan Morris has chosen MLS. After weeks of speculation, forward Jordan Morris was revealed as the Seattle Sounders’ latest Homegrown Player signing on Thursday. The Sounders confirmed in November that they had offered the richest Homegrown contract in MLS history to Morris, and Goal USA reported in December that the contract is in the $250,000-$300,000 range. LA Galaxy attacker Gyasi Zardes was the highest-paid Homegrown in MLS at $223,000 in guaranteed compensation, according to the MLS Players Union.
We have 2.1 million more instagram followers than them, seems like it would be a demotion But I bet they pay more
http://www.myajc.com/news/sports/football/mercedes-benz-stadium-falls-behind-schedule/np9Jg/ Atlanta Stadium is delayed. Won't be ready for the start of MLS 2017 season.
Larsen* yea he was very good but im not sure why he had such a decline, maybe injuries. If he can get back to his old self from 1-2 years ago he'll be a great signing.
So I imagine they will play a back loaded home schedule to start like Toronto has done and maybe even a few games at the Georgia Dome?
Sporting sold MLS goal of the year scorer Nemeth to some team in Qatar. Just as the did with Uri Rosell. Find a talent, watch it blossom, sell it off, promise to pump the money back into the club, then trade for Brad Fucking Davis and call it a win. Pathetic. Sure will be awesome watching Zusi and Davis blazing down the wings.
Yo I could never be a soccer player, enjoying a nice season in quaint little Kansas City and then boom you're sent to Qatar
http://www.mlssoccer.com/transactions/2016 All incoming/outgoing players. Galaxy with a weird off-season signing nothing but aging vets. Same with Red Bulls. Nothing but home grown.
and whatever god awful green color Seattle has (I did like their black kits last season). Sporting doing Sporting things with those kits again. Always the best or among the best.
Just tweeted with MLS Support and they said MLS Live is the only way to see all the games this year, only games that will be on big ESPN or ESPN2 will be on WatchESPN
I appreciate the thought behind trying to honor the city by using the city flag as inspiration but those are fucking awful. Hope we wear the black a lot, wear the yellow some (using those as an alternate this year) and these very little
