That sucks so much :( I wonder if any kids will step up for Lyon in his absence. I bet they wish they didn't sell Benzia now.
they have a couple kids on their B squad who i've been watching... but I really bet they really regret letting N'Jie go. I really thought the Laca-Beauvue-Fekir trio was going to wreck Ligue 1 this year.
A message to Valbuena from the Marseille-Lyon game today, which was delayed for some time due to missiles being thrown on the pitch.
Watch the Bein Ligue 1 highlight show. The entire first segment was in Spanish. Comes back from commercial, English again.
Bet he would have had a bigger impact in the EPL if De Jong didn't chop him down and break his leg in one of his first games. IIRC, the ref didn't even call a foul.
Watched the Lyon CL game today. Laca had a sweet goal but omg is that Cornet kid is amazing to watch. Check out his goal...
watching Nantes play St. Etienne this morning. I've been to busy to watch us play for a while, but we're looking a lot better today than we did earlier in the year. much more organized in attack that was completely missing in the first month or two. i'm pleasantly surprised at how we've been playing after blowing up the team in the past 6 months. we recently signed Guillaume Gillet from Anderlecht. he's looking solid today. i don't know much about him.
Bedoya came on as a sub and just made a spectacular hustle play on a goal kick to keep the ball alive for Nantes. It immediately led to a goal. Nantes up 2-1 in the 81st.
whoa. Bedoya with a great run and was one-on-one with Ruffier. Ruffier made an amazing save with his feet. Love that guy.
Leaving for Lyon in 2 days. Dean of the school I'm going to told me they can get tickets for me whenever i want them :)
he's been outstanding this season. There was a rumor that PSG was going to go after him during this window.
Second question on the back end. How did you settle on those seats? Cost wise, what's that match vs. like a Troyes? Clutch
Amazing. My first pro soccer game that i've been to. Crowd was loud the whole game and we were on our feet every minute or two It was me and two other friends together, so we had to go higher for seats next to each other. The seats were beautiful and it cost 30 euro/seat
In the Coupe de France today, Nantes beat Bordeaux 4-3 in extra time. Bedoya headed home the winner in the 118th minute. 4 goals and an assist in 6 games for him. We're up to 7th in the table, 1 point out of 5th and 3 points out of 4th. Pretty crazy considering how we've shredded our team over the past 1.5 years.
interesting. i'd love to see him stay healthy. Bilbao is gonna be tough in a few weeks. In league play I could see you guys making a run at the top 5. You guys certainly have more talent than most of the teams in the 5-10 range.
If they can build momentum off of the way they played against PSG then they should be fine. We will see if that happens though. Would be awesome to see Diaby get a run of games too but I'm not going to hold my breath.
Think they said there was 30-something thousand fans there today which is fairly small. Supringing by the picture
Aurier suspended for the Chelsea game due to derogatory comments about Blanc and some teammates on periscope.
saw your comment in the EPL thread about Sunderland's Ligue 1 transfers. Kone and Khazri are no slouches. Khazri is such a fun playmaker. He's unlike a lot of the small CAMs that come out of Ligue 1, he's big and strong and will throw people around. I'm glad to see him having fun. He was the glue that held Bordeaux together.
there's an amazing article in last weeks New Yorker about the owner of AS Monaco and how he got scammed out of millions on a bunch of paintings. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/02/08/the-bouvier-affair
The shear money they spend is just amazing. Also, I don't believe he was scammed for anything. I think it's just a high level Usual Suspects money laundering scam shit to decrease his net worth or launder money that was never accounted for.
