Change log from the closed beta to the open beta: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/tom-clancys-the-division-complete-list-of-changes-for-the-open-beta/
The one change I really liked seeing was the warning icon for a player that shoots another player but not enough to go rogue. There was a few times that I ended up shooting someone cause they crossed my path of fire and bam, I was rogue and hunted down.
That was also a cheese that other players were pulling in the DZ. They would walk in the line of fire while players were engaged in pve causing them to go rogue, then there group would waste them and collect the bonus. I know this, because I did this
I also like that they're cutting down on chests refreshing. I loved Borderlands, but at times finding a million weapon chests made it kind of mundane. It should be rare enough when you find one that it's always awesome. Also the fact that they're tinkering with the bounties for going rogue and killing rogues is a really good sign that they'll get it to a point where it won't be too loaded on either side.
Agree, if someone goes rogue the rewards for killing you are going to be hard to pass up. It will make you think twice about it and you better be ready to defend yourself.
I think they are reducing the amount of time between chest refresh, making them more frequent. The refresh rate in the closed beta was so big that no one ever could open one.
Yeah it should show as version 1.1 when you fire it up. If you left the closed beta on your machine it should have auto updated last week I think.
so for us jon snow's does this mean that we don't need another code or anything simply if I had the last beta then I get on thursday night and i can shoota the bad guise with you friends of mine?
Was really looking forward to playing all day friday, but then I took a job today so now I have to go to work. DAMN YOU GROWN-UP LIFE.
Yeah they weren't going to save them. They did full resets, removed some weapons and added some. New missions and such. Gameplay looks just as amazing watching the XBone streaming.
played around 2 hours last night, was really impressed. Was in a squad of 3 just roaming around the dark zone and had a ton of fun. Went rogue a couple of times and posted up together, pretty fun getting swarmed by players
Are you able to have an infinite number of people in a squad so essentially you're by yourself but can stick with whoever and be a "squad"?
Not very well. If you are in game chat and not a party you can hear other players outside your squad and they can hear you when you get within a few feet of them but it's pretty quiet, definitely not the normal chat volume.
Yeah, would like to see them extend that out so you don't have to wait till they are 5 feet from you before you know they are going to stab you in the back and take yo shit. Played for 5 hours last night and spent the last half of that in the DZ powning tons of dudes. I would say for those of you still thinking about getting this game be prepared to to have to actually party up with people to enjoy the dark zone to it's fullest. It has seemed with the open beta that more people are just going to kill each other to go rogue I bet I was killed right out of the checkpoint last night 6-7 times, had no loot or anything they were just killing to be rogue. Also seems like they put lots of more loot locations in the dark zone which is cool.
that is basically my entire fear with the dark zone. Seems like a wonderful place for griefers/trolls.
It really tests you're moral fiber. Im not a griefer. I would play dark souls, invade a guy who was just doing pve and instead of just killing him i would drop him a humanity then kill him. Un the division, im a bad person.. And quite frankly, i like it
Hence the reason you need to party up with a few guys every time, keeps the trolls at bay. They think twice about messing with a group rather if you are a single.
I would still anticipate griefers with groups. If you're not there for loot, what's the penalty for dying in the dark zone?
Hopefully we'll have a nice core of people in here to where finding groups won't be a problem for us.
A few of the guys posting in this thread are ps guys. The ps guys on this board are pretty solid to destiny so i poke in here for division talk
Haven't ventured into the dark zone yet. From what I have played so far this has been really fun even as a solo guy. Can only assume co-op is even better.
Tried playing today. Servers appear to be overloaded and are lagging too much to play. The closed beta was fun and I had a lot of fun playing yesterday.
