Returning to San Francisco and Los Angeles where the series began, the culinary competition will also make stops in San Diego, Santa Barbara, Oakland and the Greater Palm Springs area. Set to premiere this fall, cheftestants will battle it out in iconic destinations across the Golden State to see if they have what it takes to earn the title and culinary bragging rights. Production begins this spring with host Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio as well as judges Gail Simmons and Richard Blais. The competition will also feature California-based chefs, culinary stars and celebrities as guest judges throughout the season. "The entire food landscape has transformed in the 10 years since ‘Top Chef' first launched," said Shari Levine, Executive Vice President, Current Production, Bravo Media. Caroline Beteta, president & CEO of Visit California adds, "The Golden State truly is the ‘land of wine and food.' California is the ultimate destination and viewers will see first-hand the abundance and diversity of the state's fresh produce offerings, world-class chefs and renowned dining experiences within our iconic cities, wine regions and agricultural communities." "Top Chef" is produced by the Emmy Award-winning Magical Elves with Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz serving as executive producers.
It was so clear that the dude who made the squid meatballs should go home. Judges were calling it the worst thing they've ever had but a guy who overcooks lamb goes home instead because that narrative with Richard is just better.
was about to come post in here too Wesley deserved to go home for sure, but not sure that was the challenge. I guess 2 bad performances in a row will do it. The guy from New Orleans or the young black kid are my 2 frontrunners. Padma looks as fine as ever.
Kwame is probably too nice and will be his undoing. I like Isaac still a lot and the shaved head guy and the bearded dude are also really good. The women are pretty shitty this season.
Really interested to see how Chad (bearded guy from san Diego) does. He closed up his restaurant a couple months back and moved back to Washington. It was the biggest story of the year in San Diego food. Lot of speculation that he won and used the winnings to open up a new spot back home. I'd like to see him win bc I liked his restaurant, and I root for San Diego in everything. Would be cool with Kwame, or the guy from Miami (?) (the other one who was winning all the challenges) winning. Like Mix said, the girls suck this year.
that plate looked disgusting. kwame's plate may have had the least amount of food on it that i've ever seen. shit could've been an amuse-bouche.
all of Richard Blais' restaurants are average I live 2 blocks from the one Wesley is chef at...his burger bar is also lame.
From what I have heard of juniper and ivy that's not the case. And his chicken place has gotten good reviews as well
looks like he had a hearing aid in there at dinner but not at judges table. probably one he needs to hear people at the table
that Voltaggio should just become a judge full-time Jason and Phillip were/are both awful. Jason just whining and complaining about an introvert needed to stop. Philip hasnt done a damn thing except not execute at all. Phillip and Karen are at the top of the chopping block for me. Think the best thus far are: Kwame Amar Marjorie
he now could be Clown, but I recalled him being at The Spence. If Ford Fry hired him there...that would be interesting. Havent been to the optimist since July.
My gf knows his wife (who works at the wine shop across from Barcelona) and I feel like she mentioned him being at the Optimist now. I totally agree with your opinion on how underwhelming all of Richard Blaise's places are btw
damn Bryan Voltaggio is cooking at Gillispie's restaurant tonight Clown Baby they both competed on the same season way back when with the other Voltaggio
Gunshow no reservations available so signed up for newsletter for next time he gets a high profile out-of-town chef back in
Marjorie acting better than Issac is annoying. But does not even finishing a challenge make you an auto loser?
putting Phillip in the front of the house seems like a bad idea, but I guess he does run his own restaurant. To me, Jeremy would have been the better fit. Sort of unimpressed with both restaurants.
that was a weak restaurant wars really that team did about as bad of a job Ive seen only positive is that Phillip is gone
He might be the worst contestant ever. Never seen a guy so unaware of his surroundings. How does he own restaurants? But happy for Isaac.
Well at least I'm not getting judged on the cocktail Haha. Why do you think that? Huh? Why wouldn't we judge the cocktail? Oh...uh...I'm sorry you didn't like the drink.
Ate at Ripple last night (one of Marjorie's two places) - better than anything Mike Isabella is doing (and unlike the guy who lasted about 38 seconds this year, I actually like Mike Isabella)
Yeah I'm not sure if I'm over the show or just over this season. Definitely not a likeable cast, and I'm just so sick of Padma after all these years that's I'm close to done.
