You gave The Passage a 9/10. I can't imagine reading that and not wanting to read the next book! It's good. Not as good, but good.
lol yeah it probably should have been lower, I'm a sucker in my ratings. I saw that it introduced new characters so was somewhat turned off, but reading about it more sounds like they intertwine the story lines.
I'd say it's like The Passage in that regard. Introduces new characters when you want the normal ones but then you're suddenly all in on the new characters too.
Haha this was my exact thoughts. It does but everything ties together. And Peter, Amy, lish etc are all in this book so you don't start over. Even if 9/10 is higher than you actually rate the passage, if you liked that, you'll like this. You might even like it better
Just finished the passage about to start on this, really looking forward to it as I loved the first one. Anybody have a ebook I can get? Arkie Proud Truman
20% in on my reread so still in the heart of part II. Unlike three years ago, I'm pretty much all in from the jump. Cronin's ability to introduce + flesh out characters so quickly is amazing. Will most definitely be knocking out a bit chuck this weekend. Starting to get really excited for the third book.
Still feel this way about this part. Holy crap was it amazing and things really got moving. I'm becoming happier and happier that I did a reread. Not only is the story great, but there were soooooo many things that I forgot about. I imagine that the start of City of Mirrors will have a bit of a recap like this one did, but I'm happy I'll have all the characters fresh in my mind again. I have a little over 25% left tonight but the future wife is hanging with one of her friends and I won't have anything to do after the gym. So... I might try to finish this bad boy up. If not, I'll be done before the tournament on Thursday.
Finished earlier today. Liked it more than the first time I read it. Maybe it was expecting craziness to happen at the end but it didn't seem all over the place like I remembered it being a few years back. Ton of questions that I can't wait to get answered.
I liked it better the second time too, never going to be a big fan of the first part, or any other part with Lila's delusional ass (except for her last 5 pages of course). I let that bother me too much the first time around, this time i just concentrated on the rest. CFW for City of Mirrors, and now we all have to hope Cronin keeps writing, dude is seriously talented.
Just finished. I give it a 6 compared an 8 for the Passage. Starting City of Mirrors now and after reading this trilogy, I really need to switch to a non fiction or non zombie type book once finished.
