that is before that dude. quiet riot, before the blizzard band/ozzy diary was after blizzard of ozz. for such talkers get it straight all u have to do is find the mask at post it. not going to do it for u . it is real heavy metal boys.
kevin and the boys from L.A. LOL! REAL HEAVY METAL SLICK BLACK CADILLAC MAMAMA WERE ALL CRAZY NOW COME ON FEEL THE NOISE METAL HEALTH ALBUM TITLE
I was 12 when the Diary tour was and didn't go to my 1st show till I was 13 Blizzard came out before diary I saw the back at the moon tour but that had jake e lee on guitar so I missed Randy I knew randy played in quiet riot but was never really that into them. I think I deciphered what you were trying to say only part I am unclear on is "all u have to do is find the mask at post it."
Breaking the Law Turbo Lover Painkiller You've Got Another Thing Coming Between the Hammer and the Anvil Living After Midnight Hell Bent For Leather Are all songs I dig. To be fair, I can't really tell if I love those songs for the nostalgia or because they're musically good songs, but that doesn't really matter to me.
Musically, most of Black Sabbath is really really really basic. They still fucking rule, and you also have to analyze them in the context of music at the time.
thing about sabbath was it was ground breaking, it ushered in a new sound but true most of their songs are very easy to play
That's exactly my point. If you analyze their music independent of context, you don't get the full picture.
randy and carlos. nuff said. I go way back ricky d/ sammy ted and the amboys you call yourselves heavy metal rockers ?????????????????????? actually saw jimi actually saw keith moon I saw a lot of first time acts u just have no idea.
look I can not get the fucking song to take so I asked my bro the buffster to see if he could get it on here . it might take a while but I have faith in buff so I think he can help. this is the song that head banging came from u fucking young fucks . fingers crossed . just promise you put those headphones on max and let it rip ok ? edit add on : did you know RANDY RHODES ACTUALLY STARTED THE BAND QUIET RIOT . then he left for the blizzard band w/ ozzy .
Vektor and Black Fast were on tour together, would have been awesome to see if it weren't for the grossly overrated shitfest Voivod headlining.
Disagree completely. They have some albums I'm not into but for instance Painkiller is a masterpiece with every song being good just as an example. I also enjoyed the last album they released so they can still bring it.
Easy to play but sound awesome like a lot of doom is. Like I don't get it. I listen to quite a bit of Stoner/Doom. If I go back and listen to the first four Sabbath albums they still sound awesome. They hold up for me.
I've listened to that Vektor song like a dozen times since yesterday. That chorus riff the album art is dope too
"Hey pesci, we're going to a metal concert for my brother's 21st birthday. Want to come with?" "Nice, who is playing?" "Killswitch Engage and 36 Crazyfists" ":|"
herniated a disc in my back doing man stuff trying some new meds tonight so I can't be held responsible for anything I post
Funny this video uploaded two days ago has far more views than anything else Colbert Show has uploaded in the last three weeks. Spoiler
Went to the show on Wednesday and kept this in mind and you were totally right. It might have been the song of the night.
First of all, I've been to a lot of punk shows in my life where I've been feet from the stage. Our seats were in section 303 which is way the fuck up at the top of the United Center. Point being I figured we'd be fine when it came to volume....I couldn't believe how loud the show was. Being an idiot I didn't bring any ear plugs for my 7 year old but luckily the guy next to us gave us some. Even with the ear plugs it was still to loud for my kid and we had to bail on the encore (Number of the Best (we listened to from the concourse), Blood Brothers and Wasted Years (which I didn't mind missing)). The show was awesome although my enjoyment was somewhat muted due to my kids ears exploding. To do a show like that and not half ass it, fly to the next city and do another high energy show the next night for 4 months...I don't know how they do it. Bruce stopped the show at one point to give some guy shit who was standing in the front row writing things down the entire time. Also hinted that they would be back on tour and back in Chicago again in the not too distant future. This tour wraps up in June, hoping we get a North American tour maybe winter 2017. Set list was If Eternity Should Fail Speed of Light Children of the Damned Tears of a Clown The Red and the Black The Trooper Powerslave Death or Glory Book of Souls Hallowed Be They Name Fear of the Dark Iron Maiden Then the encore we bounced on.
It's just a song that was written with a live concert in mind. I thought nothing of it when I listened to the album initially but after seeing them play it I began to love it and got it stuck in my head for days. Now it really stands out when I go back to the album.
Once every few years I throw on this album and I'm always blown away how awesome it is Tonight's the night. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYoKu28A4qg
I saw Fear Factory and Soilwork last night. Good show, both bands sounded really well rehearsed. FF played Demanufacture all the way through, which was cool. First four songs on that album are some of my all time favorites. I was really, really impressed with how good Bjorn 'Speed' Strid, Soilwork's vocalist, sounded in a live setting. The guy has some seriously good pipes, on the growls and the cleans. Met him briefly after the show, along with Dirk their drummer. Good guys.
Used to love Soilwork when they were pure Melodic Death. Like with In Flames I lost a lot of interest as the vocals and the music got lighter and lighter.
it appears that set can be yours for the low price of $150 also the camera guys should feel bad about not pointing one at cliff during that intro
I feel the same way (especially w/r/t In Flames) but they played a set list that had some stuff off The Chainheart Machine and other older albums that got it going. Like I said, Speed Strid was just super impressive, even if I didn't know any of the newer material.
Just some albums I've been into this year: Cobalt - Slow Forever (post black) Vredehammer - Violator (death) Novembre - URSA (prog) Textures - Phenotype (prog) Borknagar - Winter Thrice (prog) Cult of Luna - Mariner (post metal) Abbath - Abbath (black) Obscura - Akroasis (tech death) Wormed - Krigshu (tech death)
Some great bands on this list that I didn't know had new albums out. Cobalt's Gin was one of my favorites. Is the new one as aggressive? How is Cult Of Luna's new stuff? They lost me with some of the slower shoegaze-type stuff they did after Salvation.
yeah, the cobalt album is really good. cult of luna though is pretty weird. There's some woman doing guest vocals throughout the whole album but it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's fairly slow but i wouldn't at all call it shoegaze. Cult of Luna and Textures are probably my two favorites thus far, although Abbath has some very good songs.
Download Festival 2013 just started on vh1c good stuff Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Alice in Chains, Black Stone Cherry
You unmetal fucks, you let this drop to page three? I at least have an excuse, I've been consuming metal at an alarming rate. Also paid three figures for a CD, not used to doing that but it's a mandatory album I haven't had in my collection for some 20 years.
