1.2 stuff has me sort of hopeful for the future? My worry is that they are going to give us 204's and 240's then push the carrot out even further with a new gear set.
Feels like your fear has 100% chance of happening. 1.2 is also supposed to be the new Incursion with a 220 recommended gear score.
If 204's and 240's just become the new 182's and 214's it is just going to be the same shit we have now where crafting is king. People need to be able to get quality gear from killing shit and not just that damn incursion/crafting blueprints.
I exhausted all of my fucking resources trying to make and God tier vest. Now they're fixing reckless so it's pretty much all for not. Crafting a vest takes 20 fabric, but destructing it only gives you 1 fabric back. So fucking stupid. I legitimately crafted (20) 204 level vests. Prereq #1 was reckless. Then I wanted a gear mod slot AND a high # in the firearms. All I needed was 2/3 then I'd just re-calibrate the lacking stat to get it. 0% success rate for me. Whatever I settled with was barely a bump up from my 163 level vest. Infuriating. Also, the gear for sale this week is just how garbage. I ended up buying the Dune jacket bc I was maxed on PC. It's lame.
Only thing in DZ I want currently is the Level 32 firearm and stamina mod blueprints. Base for the mods are 130-160 so that should help a bit.
By the end of the week I'll likely have all of the BOO blueprints and probably the jackets. I haven't bought much in the DZ yet because the funds seem harder to come by.
I have all the 214 gear blue prints available. All jackets. Don't have the other stuff but none of it is any good (at least compared to what I already have)
The 204 level M1A they sold last week wasn't as good as my 163 M1A. To me, that shit doesn't make any sense, to me.
Can definitely relate to the crafting grind being shit. Have crafted a bunch of 1st wave 204 vectors which I don't really love looking for a decent roll of brutal and 2 other talents that aren't one of the many shit ones. Best I got was one that has self preserved, brutal, and predatory on it with good damage/crit, but predatory is in the 2nd slot and I don't run with enough electronics for it. I did the 204 reckless search too. Got it, but while I was rolling I got a better 204 Vigorous one with better overall armor. Reckless will be better because of the 100% uptime but when I do the booster shot it will actually give me better damage reduction and buff. Other bonus was the Vigorous chest piece I rolled came with 2 mod slots which is perfect since you will want to take the massive armor you can get on the chest piece. Now if they only had a 204 gloves blueprint out again. The RNG on these crafting is ridiculous really. You really do just have to pick a set of main shit you want and hope it lands. And even when you narrow it down a shit talent can completely ruin it or a horrible native armor roll. Happy to see Balanced will be fixed considering I don't even use the talent on my 182 M1A now. As for Phoenix credits they are beyond useless now it seems. I bought the damn jackets to because there was nothing else worth getting.
Total "Gear Score" or whatever it is: 175 DPS For Primary Secondary: 81K / 77K 62K health and 22K skill - and these are all because the gear is for those two categories and not DPS. My light blue gloves gave me like 7K on Skill. All of my fucking drops are gear. Can't get a fucking weapon to save my life. Only reason I have 2 gold guns is because people in my squad dropped them to me. I fucking hate them. One of the Scar's I think that has 20 rounds - marksman rifle. only 21.3k dmg for the base. and the high-end MP5 - but not the one with 9.1K base dmg it's the shitty one that starts at 6.3K. guy couldn't drop the other one because he accidentally tried to mod it or whatever keeps you from being able to share What are my options besides just keepin on keepin on in the DZ hoping for weapon drops or squad members to get something to drop? I don't have the phoenix credits for the good blueprint vendor in the tech wing. I'm level ~37DZ and have about $30K in DZ cash. Do I need to try "farming"? I legitimately have very little use to my squad other than being a fucking rabbit with thick ass gear that draws fire between clips of MP5. I can't kill anyone. ever.
Here is a pretty basic guide setup to gear yourself to not be hopeless: http://www.divminmax.com/category/minmax-gear-guides/ Probably the easiest place to start is the mask. You are going to want good armor, firearms roll and one mod slot. You get that and then you can roll for a 2nd mod slot or skill power. Get yourself a striker/tech/sentry blueprint in the BOO. Then work on the same type of kneepads. From there head over to the incursion and get your 214 weekly reward.
This may suck to hear but what I did was run the dailies and the challenge modes over and over to get blueprints at the BoO. Bought the Vector and then the AK. Also then started buying the gear blueprints. A good mission to run on hard is the General Assembly. Guaranteed 2 golds and 4 Purps. Good for materials. Don't sell anything any more. Deconstruct everything including the DZ stuff you pull out. Work on leveling the DZ. Level 50 gives you access to decent gear prints and some ok weapon prints in the safe rooms. Best advice would be to grind two challenging missions for Phoenix credits. I did Lexington and Lincoln over and over. They are the easiest. 30 each time I think.
First purchase would be the HE extended magazine print. It can make a BIG difference for weapon Dps by lowering the frequency you reload.
Do you have any mods on those weapons? I'd recommend attempting to switch things around. I'm about GS 199 with 170/65/20, but the 65/20 have been pretty consistent throughout. The BOO Vector blueprint had me up to about 100k dps with an extended mag + crit hit chance. I didn't see a huge jump until I bought the 204 Aug that was for sale last week Running LT/Lex challenge would be good for the PX credits (up to 35 per) and possible drops. I'd bet that you could get lucky with a purple drop that would increase your DPS because it seems like you're HEs are on the very low end. Regarding what to do in your group, I'd recommend hanging back as a sniper and spamming them with heal/pulse because I imagine you have higher skill than they do.
Weekly vendor reset coming up in a couple hours. Hoping for an MP5 204 blueprint and a firearms 204 gloves blueprint. Would not mind something to actually spend my phoenix credits on this week. Probably end up with electronics kneepads and a pistol/shotgun combo though.
Just bought it. Now I have to figure out how to get DZ funds in case something worth buying is there next week
I don't know why people seem to have trouble with the DZ credits. I was at 200k last week and was up to 800 before buying the firearm mod. Gonna go buy the m1a here then get back to grinding that division tech. Got a great dz05/06 route I do that over a couple hours seems to get me a ton of dz cash, about 20 high end tech and usually 2 full stashes. We gotta go do the hard incursion so we can get you the 214 reward item.
I only get about 100k a week. I'm not certain I understand the DZ economy yet. I've also only managed to kill 9 rouges.
Are you just not picking up the money or opening DZ chests? I get like 350-400 DZ credits a kill and 1000 or so for every chest I open.
I rolled some first wave m1a's and my classic m1a was just a better roll apparently then what I did. Did get cool-headed which will be amazing on an electronics build. My checklist to improve on my build: - roll a better 204 vigorous chest with 2 mod slots. - roll better native armor sentry kneepads/mask - roll a 204 savage glove set whenever those blueprints come out - pray for a 240 sentry holster/kneepads/mask/backpack with non shit rolls I could do with some improvement on my level 32 stamina mods and weapon mods. Think I would just stick with level 31 weapon mods as the improvement to 32 is really small. If I can get some higher native armor on some of my gear I won't have to use all my stamina mods to have armor. Have to find if any ps4 guys want to help level some alt characters to 30 so we can make multiple challenge incursion runs at a 240 gear piece.
I'm just not interested in creating a second account to do all that. Seems tiresome. I'll keep ripping throats
You must have gotten lucky with RNG on the challenging incursion then to get 240 sentry's gear because otherwise you are most likely stuck in the middle with everyone else. As for the tiresome part if you have a level 30 individual who can just transport you to the later missions and carry you through (it takes me like 5 minutes to do a hard mission by myself) it will move much faster.
Na, I don't have any 240 gear. I lowered my gear score to 179 after buying a green pistol. I enjoy it when 40-70 level guys sniff out my score then attack. Unless they've got a level 90+ guy with then then they'll be listening to me talk shit over their body saying "xbox record that". If they keep coming back, I make a highlight video and message it to them. I enjoy picking on bullies more than anything else in the game
Next time I see you on I will definitely appreciate the help. Would definitely love more than 1 shot a week to improve my gear.
So I got a 240 sentry's mask yesterday and am debating if I am better off using the 214: armor is 425 to 399 firearms is 637 to 590 Obviously the 240 outperforms there and I could in theory roll the firearms up to 678. But the secondary skills are: Increased Kill xp 11% to enemy armor damage 6% Sticky bomb damage 9% to first aid heal 9.5% I am at 62% of the armor cap working towards 65%. Is the slight increase in armor/firearms worth giving up the 2 useful minor skills? PS I hate all the RNG on this crap.
What's the mod slot situation looking like? Don't know that I'd use a mask that didn't have 2 mod slots
It's my understanding that Enemy armor damage doesn't make a difference in PVP. If that's true, I'd rather up my firearms as it will affect everything. You could re calibrate your firearm on it and see what you can do. Re rolling the bomb v healing is tough bc there are so many options
My guy is stagnant. Haven't gotten anything worth changing in a long time. I need to do the challenging incursion but haven't been home and/or had a strong enough crew to run it yet. My guy is still the strongest in my crew at 281/81/12 max armor. Reckless 204 chest piece, 3 striker, 2 sentry. 79 DZ rank. Gear score fluctuates between 179 and 195 depending on which pistol I equip.
finally reached DZ lvl 50, what are some good pieces I need to get to up my stats? I run 3 striker pieces and 2 tactician pieces. currently with savage gloves.
is the term "rolling" something meaning the station in the tech wing that gives you some extra cool stuff for each thing you're wearing? I know nothing. jon snow
I guess I can start looking for something to replace my sentry gear and for armor that is going to allow me to get closer to the 75% cap.
Bascially, you can take any gear to the recalibration station and use credits (regular ones) to recalibrate a single item. The issue is you have to get a piece of gear which only needs one thing changed, and that can be difficult. For example, last night I bought new gloves, which I wanted Savage, Crit dmg+ and Crit Chance+ well, I would get one of three on every glove I crafted. Finally I got one that had two, and took it upstairs and rerolled the one shitty bonus (i think it was dmg to elites) to the crit dmg+. Now I have decent gloves. The issue is I would like the armor higher, but since I recalibrated the dmg to elites, I can't recalibrate that. This is why it can be so hard to find decent gear. A lot of times, you get one really good bonus, and the others are all shitty, or the talent sucks. I am building a shotty build, and want +dmg and +reload speed on my extended mag. I just rolled 6 of them, and only got the +Reload speed. Bye bye materials..... Also, this is why its so hard to find decent gear in drops. So many performance mods, when you do get a decent piece of gear, it normally sucks because two things on it need recalibrating, its so rare to find something close to being ready to use.
Is the police T-81 in the BoO special vendor worth buying, I see it has + Crit chance and damage for talents. I have almost 800 phxc and will be able to get tonight but if it's not worth it I won't waste them. Totally second the terrible gear and re-rolling. Bought the 204 glove blueprints in the DZ and was getting terrible talents and attributes, crafted them 7 times till I got savage and even then they were still worse than my 182 gloves, so I wasted a ton of materials and got nothing out of it. I'm fine if the crafting need to take lots of materials but when I deconstruct them I want more than 1 fabric back. I mean fuck they cost what 6 fabric, 4 electronics and like 4 divtech, just give me half those back and I'm cool with that. Plus I think no matter what every piece of 204 gear should be better than it's 182 counterpart, otherwise whats the use of spending all your credits and materials to get nothing out of it.
All of this. Don't forget the cost of recalibrating a decent item can easily stretch into the a million credits by the time its three or four rolls in.
So what setup is everyone going with for 1.2 when they ruin the 4 piece sentry bonus? Thinking so far that I might lean towards trying to get a 2 mod slot vigorous chest, my 204 savage gloves, 2 pieces of sentry for headshot bonus, and 2 pieces of the new juggernaut gear for 20% armor bonus. Think the other build people seem to be leaning towards is 3 striker, 2 sentry, and savage gloves.
Also, I am not sure on the T-81, I picked up the Aug and it is going to take some thing pretty impressive to get me off that gun. I currently have it pushing around 260k with 84k stamina and unfortunately 13k electronics.
