@honigstein: A change of tack from Wenger? After having earlier offer rebuffed, he's come back to pay full whack for Xhaka. (€50m, including add-ons)
which is why i liked bayerns deals. The market isnt yet totally ruined by the EPL falling into a mountain of moniez
Are there any legit news organizations in Europe that hit on transfer news more often than not? Almost everything I read said Man U had agreed on a deal for Sanches and that obviously didn't happen.
When it comes to transfer rumblings the European papers are run like the national enquirer. When there is enough smoke though there is usually something to it. With Sanches I think United wanted him (regardless of what they say now) but he had the choice and chose Bayern and ancelotti
Dortmund better set his buyout at 100 million Euros unless they want Bayern to get him on the cheap a few years from now.
Sid Lowe claims Griezmann's buyout clause is approx £65m. So it's a matter of where he goes: City, Utd or Chelsea.
Sid Lowe said Atletico would like if someone paid the clause. While their scouting is as good as it gets, kinda hard to replace that level of production. If Pep wants a quick fix for City, can't imagine a better purchase than Greizmann.
Havard Nordtveit (Borussia Moenchengladbach) to West Ham on free transfer. Spoiler West Ham United are delighted to confirm that Norway international midfielder Havard Nordtveit will join the Club on a free transfer on 1 July. The Borussia Moenchengladbach man will leave the German side upon the expiration of his contract, with the Hammers having beaten off competition from several top European outfits to land their man. Nordtveit, 25, signs on a five-year deal and returns to London six years after leaving Arsenal to join Monchengladbach. He told the Official Website: “It has always been a dream for me to play in the Premier League and now I have a big opportunity to do that for West Ham – I cannot wait to start! “This team has something special, a spirit in the team that I can fit into. I will work hard and hopefully I can get some good moments at this Club. “I’m a player who can play many roles on the pitch, but I’m from Norway so maybe a little bit more running, tackles and try to spread a few balls around me. “I’m looking forward to showing what I can do, but hopefully I have something to help West Ham achieve even more.” Born in the village of Vats in western Norway in June 1990, Nordtveit became the youngest player to represent Haugesund when he was named in the starting line-up in an August 2006 win over Sogndal two months past his 16th birthday. He remained with Haugesund for a further year, before Arsenal took him to the Barclays Premier League for the first time. A defensive midfielder who can also play at the back, Nordtveit made the substitutes’ bench at Emirates Stadium but could not force his way into the first team before moving on to Moenchengladbach in December 2010. Before then, loan spells at Salamanca, Lillestrom and 1. FC Nuremburg gave him a flavour of first-team football, setting the Norwegian up for a successful spell in the Bundesliga. He quickly became a regular for Die Fohlen and played 187 games for the German side in his five-and-a-half seasons there, scoring 12 goals. This past season, Nordtveit showed his versatility by playing as a centre-half and central midfielder during Moenchengladbach’s impressive campaign, which saw them finish fourth in the Bundesliga, despite losing their opening five league matches! Nordtveit has also featured prominently for his country, earning 28 caps and scoring two goals since making his debut for Norway in 2011. Yeah I think we're trying to buy him. I like him and he played well enough but I would be surprised if we don't bring in another rb to compete for the starting spot with him.
I don't think he's good enough for a Champions League team. They should probably sell him while his value is high .
I watched his last match and the fans pretty much gave him a beautiful send-off. I agree that he'll be a great buy. He won't be too expensive and he's incredibly productive and creative. The weird thing is, I haven't seen too many rumors about teams sniffing around him.
Gregory van der Wiel leaving Paris Saint-Germain. This team is going to be very different looking next year.
So Leicester has a replacement lined up for Kante if/when he leaves. Reports out of France are saying that Ranieri wants Nampalys Mendy from Nice. I'm all over Mendys nuts. He's just like Kante but 3 years younger and a better finisher. He never stops moving.
Lukaku's dad said they wanted 65 and it should be done by Euros. No clue why anyone would pay 50 for Stones, unless a large chunk is add-ons
