Fuck. I didnt think about tagging the Nooga thread. We didnt stay but for about an hour anyways. Damn good food at the Pickle Barrel
Grabbing tickets tomorrow for the September show in Charlottesville. Will be my third time seeing him in the past year.
They went on sale at 10 I snagged some and went back to check the other show like 10 mins later and they were gonzo
Oakland is almost sold out. All they have left is the back 7 rows of the balcony just looked on stubhub. There's 592 tickets for sale for the Oakland show on Stub hub
Geez, saw him at the Fox last year and got lower level(right above the floor) tickets just a few weeks before. Edit: is the balcony level there any good, only ever been lower
I don't think this has been posted yet, but Sturgill covering Otis Redding is spectacular. Probably the one song I'd be most disappointed if I don't get to see it live.
Really great feature on him from American Songwriter. http://americansongwriter.com/2016/05/sturgill-simpson-sea-changes/?slide=undefined Lot of cool info in there. The fact that Atlantic didn't even hear the new record until it was already mastered is wild.
Breakers Roar has been the breakout on Sailor's Guide for me. The opening verse is like audio cocaine.
