If he ends up being a Targ, then I also think that means Cersei and Jamie are Targ's. Which means the Targaryens never stopped ruling the Iron Throne.
nah, i think a major reason for Tywins hate was that he knew he was cucked. Never saw anything but his version of love for cersie/Jamie
Apologies if I already mentioned this, but ever since the introduction of the second-life storyline with Sixskins, and Bran's increasing warg powers, I've been toying with the idea that Bran will permawarg into Hodor after he finishes learning from Bloodraven and join the epic last fights as an active participant. On one of Danny's dragons. How sweet would it be to see Brodor Dragonskins fuck shit up like a boss?
You don't want to see Hodor riding a dragon while Bran psionically directs him to slaughter white walkers? Boy I bet you're just the life of the party.
Ramsey got so popular, so I think they ran with it. Roose Bolton leading armies against the north would seem much more plausible and formidable in the books.
Why would the Iron Bank want to fuck over Dany? Havent they already backed a usurper with the hopes of collecting through that? If this is an ignorant statement, forgive me, I am just a show watcher that tries to read up on some theories.
Also does Bran create this entire storyline by talking to Aerys Targaryen in one of his time travel deals, making him go insane?
Why would he create a reality in which his father, mother, and brother die, not to mention the millions of people who die in two wars?
How do you guys think Qyburn reanimated/resurrected Robert Strong? I ask because Qyburn practices the Faith of the Seven, doesn't he? We know R'hllor can bring people back and with all of Melisandre's magic, I think we can agree that R'hllor is real. I don't know if the Old Gods are real or if the First Men and the CotF are just magical. But there really hasn't been anything to prove that the Seven are real except for Strong, but we don't know how he was brought back.
i'm not sure, but there's one thing i believe about robert strong is that he is just a monster. he has no free will and no connection to the mountain at all imo
R'hllor - Real. Old Gods - Real. Seven - Made up bullshit. RS is like frankensteins monster. Isn't it said Qyburn got kicked out of the maesters club because he was always digging into the restricted stuff? He just pumped a bunch of westerosi hgh/super soldier serum/viagra/cocaine hybrid juice into him to get him moving around. No magic to it.
Qyburn studied under Marwyn the Mage at the Citadel who also trained Mirri maz Duur in healing arts. She then resurrected Kahl Drogo; so presumably they could have both learned some crazy blood magic from Marwyn.
A Game of Thrones In Essos Mirri Maz Duur mentions to Daenerys Targaryen that she was taught about human anatomy by a maester named Marwyn
The whole "burn them all" stuff along with his affinity for wildfire makes me wonder whether aerys went into the future, got all twisted and believed he was trying to kill the others/wights in present day. Not sure why or how that would've happened
So Jaimie would have been the hero of this whole thing if he had pushed a lil bit harder to make some rotation.
If the Children get their magic through the Old Gods and the Children created the Others, are the Old Gods the Great Other?
So if hodor is still going to be holding a door in the books and there most likely won't be any doors in the cave...what door is he going to hold? Night fort gate? Something south of the wall?
Am I a tard for not realizing that Illyrio was a follower of R'hllor and that he was clearly planning for those eggs to get hatched? Two Dany chapters in on my reread and I'm convinced that she's set up to be AA or something. Maybe followers of R'hllor like to have a lot of embers in the fire or something, Idk. I doubt that Illyrio bought those eggs. I'm guessing they were taken and hidden by red priests until they thought they could be hatched by someone. Knowing that some of them live hundreds of years, I wonder if the eggs could've actually come from Old Valyria when there were dragons all over the place.
WOAT popular theory It just so happens that the three main characters are all secretly related, and they fly in on dragons to save the day! Sounds like the absolute worst fan fiction imaginable. I will shireen my ASOIAF books if that happens. Not to mention the fact that the only "evidence" in the books of this is: 1) tyrion has different color eyes (not evidence) 2) tyrion likes dragons (Jamie likes to fuck his sister, is he a targ?) 3) barristan saying aerys took liberties at Joanna's bedding (which would mean the twins are targs, unless tyrion was somehow conceived before them) 4) Tywin saying he couldn't prove he wasn't his (and Genna said Jamie wasn't Tywins son) So in reality, there is just as much evidence that Jamie is a secret targ. Shit theory
Additionally, it completely invalidates the entire point of tyrions arc in the first three books. Tywin was too proud and stubborn to realize that his most capable child, and the one most like him, was the one he hated and neglected (hell Tywin even fucked whores like tyrion). Even after tyrion repeatedly proved himself in the course of the first three books. If tyrion isn't Tywins son, Tywin was basically justified in rejecting tyrion.
I hate Tyrion being a Targ, but it's alleged so hard and it fits the narrative, so I tend to believe it's true. 1) Tyrion not inheriting the Lannister looks, which are insanely prominent despite having two Lannister parents is pretty strong evidence. The whole series is based on how strong Lannister genes are. 2) Tyrion had dragon dreams, which is something all Targs are said to have. Jon is shocked to hear that Tyion has them in AGoT, which leads people to believe that Jon had them as well. 3) The timeline is really messed up, but so is Robert's Rebellion. 4) The wording there is incredibly suspect. Tywin says, "Since I cannot prove that you are not mine," when he's discussing how he's going to deny Tyrion his birthright. I would hate it if Tyrion is a secret Targ, but it's definitely set up that way.
Wasn't the whole "the seed is strong" thing from Jon Arryn referring to the Baratheon genes being really strong, not the Lannisters? That no Baratheon had ever had blonde hair. Lannisters may have similarly strong genes but I don't recall them discussing that, but I might have just missed it
