Ya this is one of those trust Klopp things for me. I've never seen a glowing review of him and today he was non-existent but reportedly Klopp has been talking to this kid for months.
Anfield HQ @AnfieldHQ 35s35 seconds ago Liverpool have had a £7m bid for Ben Chilwell rejected. Leicester are seeking £10m. #lfc (Chris Bascombe) Ridiculous
The fact we aren't going after a 1st team LB pisses me off so much. Spend whatever it takes on Jonas Hector.
Ready for the fucking season to start. The Euros are helping a bit but I hate this part of the summer where shitbird transfer rumors are the only thing going on.
Sports Analysis @AnalyseSport 5h5 hours ago Liverpool have been linked with 131 players since January. Three have signed. About 2%. So 98% of the fume is wasted energy. Fumeanalysis.
This post not withstanding Anfield HQ @AnfieldHQ 5h5 hours ago Both parties are likely to agree on a fee of £30m for Mané. #lfc (Echo) Anfield HQ @AnfieldHQ 5h5 hours ago A fee of £30m for Mané would make him the third highest #LFC signing in history, behind Andy Carroll and Christian Benteke. #lfc (Echo)
Though the price is high, he is without a doubt an improvement to our left side attack. He always seemed to torch us when we played against him.
Coutinho plays on the left right now. Not sure he's an upgrade over him. My guess would be he takes Lallana off the field on the right side, a player from the same team who we just bought for almost the same price. The bolded part is giving me Benteke flashbacks.
Yeah definitely didn't work out with benteke. Klopp needs pace on the wings and mane gives you that and some.
Liverpool have agreed a £30million deal for Sadio Mané. He will undergo a medical on Monday. #lfc (Paul Joyce) Mané will be Liverpool's main signing this summer. #lfc (Paul Joyce) Hello 6th place
I like what we have up front with the addition of Mane and we were good on offense once Klopp got here..... But holy hell in worried about our midfield and defense. Hendo has to bounce back. No hope for our defense though.
So all season we bitched cause we had no true wide players worth a shit. Now you're bitching that we signed a wide player, who our manager obviously rates highly, instead of another fucking #10
Who would mhktaryan replace? Lallana but neither are true wide men. Mane is fine. The price is the worst thing about this. If mhktaryan wasnt going to United no one would make this comparison.
Mane played centrally as much as he did wide this year. Scoring wasn't our problem this year, it was keeping the ball out of the net.
Probably the highest transfer fee yes, but everyone was excited to see what kind of smaller transfers he can pull off. That's what he was renowned for at Dortmund so let's see what he can do at Liverpool
Plus it's a 2 way street. We'd probably pay 30 mil for lots of players but who knows if they'd come with no UCL.
30 million pounds isn't all that much anymore. Mane is erratic but teams are gonna be paying that or more for worse players than him this summer
He got benched this year, also went 19 games between scoring. He'll also miss a month of the season because of the African cup. Yes teams will also spend bad money, doesn't mean this is a good buy. Sterling at £49 mil doesn't make benteke at £32 worth it.
Interesting Liverpool wanted to buy Mane 2 years ago for 10 mil but got axed by Rodgers. Also seeing a lot of people speculating Mane in means Markovic is going to be sold.
I've moved on to the acceptance phase of the Mane deal. Just hope we get a midfield partner for Can, another center back, and a left back.
