God, I can't wait to quote all these people short selling Littlefinger when he flips the tables next season
They just let a lady crown herself who blew up the Sept of Baylor rather than stand trial, killing god knows how many nobles and innocents. Safe to say they'll let anyone declare themselves ruler if they have any might behind them. Besides Jon doesn't want the crown.
Gonna download the whole series and watch 1-2 episodes a week till the next season. Refuse to reread until WoW has a release date.
LF starts to turn the tide politically as Jon is too busy preparing for the walkers & right when it looks littlefinger might get what he wants; Meera & Bran walk through the gates of winterfell along with knowledge of Littlefinger's atrocities. King Jon takes off his head the way Eddard would & so ends littlefinger.
I was with 3 show watchers and they all understood the baby was Jon, but did not understand who the parents were. Show watchers don't know who RT is and even when told they didn't really see it as a big deal until I explained more... One casual show guy thought the baby was by young Ned and his sister kinda like the Lannisters which is hilarious (but I actually see how he kinda thought that)
Showfag friend said the same thing. He said he wished they went deeper into who his father was. Fucking showfags man.
All these people talking about showfags not having a clue just makes me laugh and cry at the same time. You just witnessed probably the biggest secret this series will have for you, and you're just all "herp derp."
I guess I totally misinterpreted the Sansa-Jon-LF dynamic in the "King of the north" scene. I read "gotcha bitch!" on Sansa's face when she glared at Littlefinger. That video with the actors being interviewed would hint otherwise.
I think it's partly because people that read about the show and do more than simply watch the episodes (but haven't read the books) pretty much knew it was a foregone conclusion.
In the video Sansa talks about Jon not appreciating her and being naive, even though he says the victory is because of her.
Also surprised there isn't more talk in here about Varys showing up on the boat with dany. Is she just now crossing the narrow sea or did she already pitstop in dorne?
Found myself agreeing with pretty much all of this https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/4q24ti/spoilers_main_astounding_overdue_insight_into/
Take into account BamaNug that Meereen is much farther inland than the Essos cities on this map, but Theon and Ashe did get to Meereen from the Iron Islands in no time. Who knows how long they'll be sailing next season.
They probably would have done anything for Rhaegar imo. It seems to be unanimous that Rhaegar was the truth and everybody loved him.
You know who she did have trouble saying goodbye to? Jorah "So you're telling me there's a chance" Mormont
It makes you cry? Honestly it wasn't that huge of a secret, the show has hinted at it all season. And if you think of it from the perspective of the books, when Cersei burns down the Hands tower in book 5 and Martin specifically mentions how Cersei can't look away from flames and how much she enjoyed it, it was pretty damn obvious it was foreshadowing some event because burning the tower had no purpose in the story. Just another classic example of how Martin is an incredible writer. 8/10 of you guys couldn't stop saying Get Hype, Cleganebowl confirmed and all this crap, only to have your dreams ripped out for Cersei to burn them all down.
So Neds greatest victory was dishonorable while claiming Jon as his own brought him dishonor but was really the most noble thing he ever did
LF is pretty much at the mercy of Sansa now, no? She no longer needs his protection. She knows about the murder of Jon Arryn. She's a witness to the murder of Lysa Arryn. The Lords of the Vale have been trying to get him out of the paint so it shouldn't be hard to get rid of him at this point. His only move now is to play Sansa against Jon.
Huh? I'm not literally crying....but...wait....what? I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make. Obviously I know the show has been hinting about it all season; and it may very well have been the worst kept secret ever, but I'm just saying that it's pathetic how many of these show fags just can't grasp what is a pretty simple twist in the grand scheme. Having to explain it over and over to them is just sad. Hence my hyperbolic statement of "it makes me cry."
I would think they'll go more in depth on Jon's parentage next season. The writers didn't even talk about it on the post episode show on HBOGO. Think Bran might go with Meera to talk to Howland to learn more.
Most chilling thing about Cersei was her response to Tommen's death, saying he should be buried with his grandfather, brother, and sister only to come back with burn him and bury his ashes with the Sept
