She is gonna take one hard look at that giant gold dildo attached to Jaime's arm and it will be over.
kudos to the show for making the Citadel as awesome as it was in my imagination. there's no doubt going to be important things happening there next season but how much is up in the air and they could have skimped out on making it look so massive and sprawling but they didn't.
there were a ton of people in and around the Sept that were not religious fanatics, just there to watch the trial.
How do you think that Jon Targaryen will be received by the houses of the North? It took Lady Mormont (little badass) shaming them to convince them that Ned Stark's blood runs in his veins. Do you think it changes things for them to find out that he's actually got Lyanna Stark's blood and is a Targaryen, since they all fought for Robert?
when you're discussing how the show ends it's super important to remember the majority of fans haven't read the books and this is still a TV show which means it will likely end much neater and tidier than the books. there's probably going to be plenty of people dead on the show who will be around at the end of ADOS(or would be if that book was ever to be finished). TV audiences don't like complicated endings, it's very unlikely we get one. they also like to see bad guys get their comeuppances almost without exception. maybe you get a Marlo character who gets away with it all but probably not so don't overcomplicate what you think will happen. George would write the end of his series as if things were going to start to rebuild after the big war and there will, of course, always be assholes hungry for power but there's a really good chance D&D tie everything up really neat and tidy so people can think that Dany or Jon or whoever claims the throne at the end is going to start a new era of good in Westeros or some such trope.
he's just as much a stark as he is targaryen. the north rallied around ned because he was their liege lord. they couldn't care less about the baratheons
Let's flash forward a little bit -- Dany is bringing 140,000 Dothraki to Westeros. Their lifestyle runs completely counter to a King's (or Queen's) peace. What the hell happens to them after the war's over?
Give them all the lands that once belonged to Lannisters? But really, I think that is one of those details that we aren't supposed to think too deeply about. That will be a problem that gets taken care of after the books/show is over
no Hound :( he'll obviously play a much bigger role next season. otherwise fucking fantastic. "The White Wolf"
D&D just confirmed 15 eps left at most, likely just 13. they've said 70-75 hours so maybe a few longer episodes coming and finale is probably 90 minutes or more.
I wasn't sure exactly, but Daario's comment that he couldn't wait to see them sailing on the poison sea made me think he had to have been talking about the Dothraki at first. don't think the Second Sons have any superstitions like that and I didn't notice any Dothraki on the ships.
He was talking about the Dothraki. The Dothraki were on the ships, the Second Sons were told to stay in Mereen
Perhaps I am just being hopeful, but a part of me feels like D&D are holding the final episodes over the head of HBO for more money. Obviously there has to be more spent on CGI once the dragons arrive in Westeros to combine with the White Walkers. Any chance they are hanging the threat of less episodes over the head of HBO for more money?
The Dothraki are going. She was saying that Daario wouldn't see how the Dothraki do on the poison water because he wasn't going. They showed the horses eating on the boats. Those were Dothraki horses.
little late, finally caught up. Last 2 episodes definitely changed my whole perception of this season, fucking 180'd and now I need more immediately
So did Dorne and Highgarden send ships to Mereen to help transport Dany's army or have they already crossed the Narrow Sea?
Count me in for this just from a pure fanboy perspective. An undead Dothraki army just riding through Westeros fucking shit up? Fuck yes. Also weird that it appears this series is probably going to end with a marriage between Aunt/Nephew and everyone is going to fist pump about it. Such is Game of Thrones.
I did not notice it the first time but have read two articles now showing that Dany's fleet included ships with the Tyrell / Martell sigils.
I'm convinced GRRM built this whole thing so everyone would just be cool with incest and he can marry his niece or some shit. I've seen folks who want Jon and Sansa to get together.
I don't think that's what he meant by "meat for the Night King's army". I thought he meant they'd be cannon fodder against the Night King's army.
Dany expects that she can keep the Ironborn from continuing to reave and rape as they've done for hundreds of years, of course she thinks she can control the Dothraki in the same way. Ultimately, though, it's probably something we never see. If they survive the war and have to "adjust" to Westerosi lifestyles or just sail back across the sea, we'll never see it because the show will be over. Maybe it'll show up in an appendix in the last book or something.
I meant both; whomever the walkers kill they tend to turn them & unleash them back on their opponents.
Just how big is Jons kingdom gonna be? Did the Vale just proclaim him their king? Will the Tullys join back now that the Freys got murked? If they all fall in line it wont matter if he is a Targ might even work in his favor a little
The dothraki invading westeros never made sense to me especially with Dany leading them. If Drago was leading them, yes they'd rape and pillage and burn shit and raise hell forcing open field combat. Obviously Dany will have plenty of men/armies and siege weapons and giant fucking dragons so no one should come close to opposing her. I wonder though, let's say there were 5000 cavalry that rode in and saved Jons ass. How many dothrakis would it take to take down 5000 armored Cavalry on their armored war horses? I know the Huns wiped out pretty m any western force they ever came across but they were some of the best war tacticians in history.
Dany is overpowered as all hell, and I don't see where the resistance comes in Westeros. The Lannisters are all that really stand in her way... Unless Littlefinger joins up with them.... Even still, they seemingly stand no chance. Maybe the wildfire is their great equalizer..?
Yeah, there are some bluish sails that have the House Tyrell Sigil as well as some Martell spear through sun sails. Varys must have brought them back with him to Mereen.
People still talk about the sopranos ending a decade later. Not sure a clean ending is always in the cards.
Lancel only got stabbed once and he couldn't even parkour all over the place or jump out of second story windows. What a pussy
the dothraki have no armor and will be shredded by westrosi arrows/armor. The dragons/unsullied are what's important.
Do you even showrun? She's going to roll into kings landing. With her fleet. Skirmish. Cersei gets set to blow up the city. Jaimie aerys her. Drogon takes victory lap. And the plot moves forward.
