If Jon is considered a bastard then he has no claim at all. If Jon is considered legitimate he has a stronger claim than Dany in the same way Prince William and Prince George are ahead of Queen Elizabeth's children (outside of Prince Charles) in the British line of succession.
Who in that sept was innocent? In the game of thrones you win or you are consumed by wildfire. It is known.
I think she's going to take a major blow to her forces by Euron as well. Otherwise she's way over powered and will just mow down anyone in her way.
everyone is way too worried about claim at this point. it really doesn't even matter. it's going to be whoever has the biggest army. (and then it's not going to matter again when the Others show up). Jon just got named king in the north as a bastard and Cersei just put a crown on her own head with no explanation.
No doubt. Doesn't mean that much given the current state of affairs but thought I'd explain why his claim is stronger.
It may work out with Euron dealing her a major blow, but you would think 3 dragons would handle a wooden fleet with ease. Only obstacle would be the horn that hasn't been introduced in the show.
I just think the Arya-Hound relationship is one of the best in the books. Each character grows to become a better person through their interaction imo. Same with Jaime-Brienne. For those reasons it would be a shame not to have them reunite.
That cunt dying is the only good thing that happened at the RW then GRRM turns around and brings her right back
Here is this for those that haven't watched it yet. Talks Sansa/Jon, etc... Wasn't crazy about the spin on the Arya storyline about how her descent into being a murderer is worrisome. It's not like she's going around killing random people she's killing the same people that have been on her list since the first book.
The way I took it was that it was worrisome for her characters safety. I think most of us had assumed shed merk a bunch of people but ultimately would get killed in the end.
Well I'm assuming that Euron and his much larger fleet (didn't Yara tell Dany that?) are much better sailors and much better at war on water. Three dragons can't be everywhere during a battle that big. Plus there's obviously ways to negate the advantage of dragons as Dorn never bent the knee. At least I'm assuming they negated the dragons, I don't remember much about the battle for Dorn. Not saying the dragons won't wreck havoc, just that Euron and his fleet should be able to deal some major damage to Dany's fleet. Of course we talk about this and then they'll probably never see each other.
How does he have a much larger fleet when like 3 episodes ago he talked about having to rebuild every ship?
Probably, just trying to figure out ways her right now way overpowered force, could be knocked down a peg or two.
I remember that, it just makes no sense to me how he could when they stole his fleet and he freaked about having to rebuild everything.
I think they just stole the fastest ships or best ships, something to that effect. I've given up trying to make sense of time and travel events anymore.
It sure as shit seems we're to the point that claim to the throne doesn't matter. That seat could change asses about 50 times in the next 2 seasons, the old gods willing.
They talk about it in the world of ice and fire. The dornish abandoned their cities and strongholds so that when the dragons came there was no one to kill. Basically the Russian strategy in the Napoleonic wars but with a deadly desert instead of a deadly winter.
I'm not positive where I saw this, so I could be misremembering. But I feel like Yara and Theon mentioned having 100 ships, while the Iron Islands fleet was around 300. So they took 1/3 of the ships. But Euron still wanted to build more to have the largest fleet ever, or something along those lines.
Who is at Dragonstone? Storm's End? Seems like Dany could pretty easily just sail on up to Dragonstone and establish a home base there before fucking up the world at King's Landing.
Yara and Theon took the Iron Fleet or a portion of it. The Iron islands still has hundreds of ships besides the Iron Fleet. 'The Iron Fleet is the largest grouping of longships from the Iron Islands. They number one hundred, and unlike other ironborn ships they belong to the Seastone Chair. It is one of the three most powerful fleets of Westeros, along with the royal fleet of the crownlands and the Redwyne fleet of the Arbor.[1] Each ship of the Iron Fleet is captained and crewed by people of various islands. The ships, while smaller than the war dromonds of the mainland, are three times the size of a standard longship of the Isles.[2] The fleet's commander, the Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet, is Victarion Greyjoy. '
According to this link on face space apparently Jon's name is really Jaehaerys. http://theberry.com/2016/06/28/jon-targaryen-still-knows-nothing/
you've got it backwards if anything. HBO would take 30 more episodes if they could. the only reason we're not ending next year is because HBO got more out of them, albeit not much.
You could certainly be correct. With that said, we have not seen any official announcement regarding how many episodes are left. Just quotes by D&D in the press, and rampant speculation. I think they definitely could have been/are trying to get more money out of HBO. I don't think there is any question the last few seasons/episodes of this show will cost more than HBO has ever paid for programming.
Love this from an article about the best scenes from Sunday. That’s right, Jon Stark-Targaryen is the new King in the North because Lyanna Mormont managed to rile all of the Stark bannermen to back him while simultaneously roasting them like the bunch of marshmallows they are. She’s all, “dude, Ramsay skinned your old man and set him on fire but you still didn’t do anything you wuss.” SHE SHAMED A ROOM OF GROWN ASS MEN. Very badass.
And one of those of books would only be two chapters of her laying the smack down on all the other great houses.
