let me know what you think of Cities, I'm intrigued and have it in my wishlist but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Been having to put off getting it since it came out due to being poor but my little brother is about to get this for me for my birthday I'm stoked.
If you have never experienced the game that is Psychonauts you need to pick this up also if you want to be a masochist you can pick up Darkest Dungeon, amazing game but it will make you want to break things.
It is an experience and since the kickstarter just made the sequel happen I hope everyone gives it a shot. A very underrated game with a cult like following.
Was just informed my little brother got me The Witness as a very late bday gift Will be playing tomorrow
I just started XCOM 2 this morning for a few minutes before work. Pretty fun tactics game so far. http://www.pcgamer.com/xcom-2-review/ broXcore
that'll probably be the last one i purchase (lol, right) this steam sale. got prison architect and psychonauts last night.
Just picked up Burnout Paradise and KSP. Looking forward to introducing Half Knight to KSP this weekend, I have a feeling many poor Kerbals will die at his hands.
I haven't started Witcher 1 as yet. I've beaten Witcher III and the first expansion, mid-way through the second expansion now. Are the controls not the same? FWIW I use an XBox One controller plugged into my PC for games like this.
You need a controller mapping software for Witcher 1 but it's very point and click. I'm not even sure it's worth mapping to a controller because I don't know how well it'll work. The first sequence fucked my brain just with navigation. But for $1.50... I'm not sad if I can't adapt and play it through. I will give it a fair shake though.
Let me know how it goes. I'd love to play through I/II just for the back story, and so I can make sense of the occasional references dropped in III.
It takes awhile to get the hand of it but once you figure out the click combos on the witcher you are golden
Just logged some hours tonight on XCOM2. I'm new to the franchise and to turn based close tactics games like this. Holy fuck it was challenging. I probably reloaded the same mission 5-7 times. My guys kept getting flanked and mind controlled. Will be a learning curve for sure. Game was super fun though, and really addicting. I wanted to spike the mouse like a football when I finally passed the first mission.
Stick of Truth is amazing. It's hilarious too and has good replayability. I've played through with 2 characters.
POE- Amazing SOT- Hysterically amazing Warhammer - Very clever Left for Dead type game with medieval weapons and spells Dragon's Dogma- a very complicated and underrated RPG that really tests your ability to plan how you attack each enemy with several weak points to hit and focus such as wings, legs, ect Just Cause- Fun sandbox destruction 3rd person shooter, fun to play in small bursts but it got old for me.
About This Game Death Is Not an Escape. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape Shitty AMC Show Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play. Game is fun
Is Firewatch considered part of this genre? I haven't played, but love the visual style of the game and heard good things.
It looks similar. Factor in a Walking Dead world event, toss in more of a survival scenario feel, and mix it with Minecraft sandbox world creation. That's my best guess as I haven't played Firewatch, just watched some gameplay.
Firewatch has some of the best voice acting and character building I've ever played, and is visually stunning but the ending is so monumentally disappointing I recommend just watching someone play it since it is only a 4 hour game unless you can get it for real cheap.
what games do you play cause thats likely way overkill once you crest over like $800 w/o monitor you get diminishing returns imo
i don't expect to spend all of that. the current build i'm looking at is about 800 before case, power, and monitors.
Pcpartpicker is your friend. Visit that site and look at some people's builds. i recommend multiple SSDs. One for your OS and one for Steam/Games.
Post some builds in here and we can look at them. Reddit'a /r/buildapc is a really good tool as well.
with that budget: asus x99 motherboard i7 skylake either a gtx 1070 or a rx 480 from there, you can basically get whatever you want within compatibility on pcpartpicker (best website ever) the rx 480 is getting a ton of good reviews with regards to price/performance
passed the fuck out. about to post the current build for advice and shit. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/KFjZRG all advice, compliments, and complaints are welcome i do have to take monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, maybe some speakers out of that but i can go cheap on the later 3.
http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qw6QZ8 also pretty into that but that leaves less money for monitors and speakers
With the release of the GTX 1080 you can get some great deals on the GTX 970 or 980. I built an i5 skylake / 970 computer in January and it's probably half the cost of what it was then. My build can handle pretty much everything out there right now at max settings, so unless you are future proofing you can save some cash and still get a great rig that will last at least a year+.
love my headset https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Performance-Surround-Gaming-Headset/dp/B008O515CK Never use speakers on my PC for the most part but I do have the klipsch 2.1 speaker setup. http://www.klipsch.com/products/kli...urce=googleshopping&locale=en-US#promedia-2-1 Monitor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2HH7G0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Great inexpesive 144hz monitor. You can upgrade later if you want 4k. Theres a guide about changing the color profile which takes the monitor from 3 star status to 5.
