I really don't know, tbqh. I've been tied up with the new 10R transmission on the 2017s. I can talk to our guys down in Kentucky and see what I can find out.

And I'm debating doing the free truck thing as my secret santa gift this year. Better not pout......

Dually crew cab King Ranch or Platinum Powerstroke pls. Don't need a half ton these days. Preferably that awesome white color but I won't be picky.

Finally got a truck after not having one for almost 10 years and went with a 2013 F150 black XLT super crew cab and not regretting it at all.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered in here, but what's the point of having a big-ass dually diesel that you simply drive around town in?

Maybe someone in here can help me. I was starting my Tahoe and it wouldn't turn over. It made these sounds like it was going to turn over but they were turning over very quickly. I would stop turning the key and the same sound would happen for another second and just stop and it wont turn the car on. I've never heard this before when having a dead battery, alternator, or starter. Any help?

Nope, low on fuel  I was parked on this slanted hill. A friend of mine owns a shop and came over to check it out. He was able to coast it down the hill to get it leveled. Started it up and I parked it where the front of the car is facing up hill, now it's showing I have 1/4th of a tank of gas. Feeling dumb but glad it wasn't anything serious.

Anyone have a mid sized truck? I'm looking at the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. I don't need a full sized truck since I don't see any heavy towing in my future, I just like the utility of having one.

I get a pretty hefty discount on GM vehicles through my family, otherwise I'd be more open to other brands. I've only heard good things about Tacoma's though.

I drive an 06 Tundra now and think I'm going with the Tacoma next. The new Tundras and mammoths. Full size 4 doors just seem to be getting bigger and bigger.

That's the exact transition I made. I liked the old Tundra they weren't huge - the new Tacoma is just a tiny tiny bit smaller than the old Tundra.

That's what I'm hearing. Currently have the 4 door version and it's just at the point where it can be a chore to park around town. I definitely don't want anything bigger. Plus I'm at the point where I've been out of college/school for a while and don't really feel the need to have a massive truck to haul a bunch of guys around in. Just me, wife, golf clubs, baby and occasional tailgating load. I think the tacoma can handle that.

Yup - I bought the last year of the old body tundra because I didn't want a massive truck, but wanted a 4x4 V8 for pulling my boat. Now I'm married with a kid, but need a truck most of the times still, but also want comfort on the inside. Love the Tacoma. My only minor complaint is once I added a roll up bed cover the bed gets pretty short pretty quick - so just keep that in mind if you haul a lot of stuff and need the room.

lots of people have heavy toys, rv's, boats, rock climbing jeeps, hunting rigs, etc, that they dont haul every day but dont want to own a second pickup just to haul

also, all ranchers and farmers dont haul hay and cattle with them every day when going to town to get groceries

sure, there are a few idiots out there who may buy a dually for no reason, but honestly people who drive a dually and really have no reason to one one are pretty far and few between
a dually is a pretty big pain in the ass to drive

hello, yes, this is a thread for me. have a '15 Mercedes 2500 Sprinter and just picked up this beauty '16 Tacoma ltd this week.

    Resized_20160727_163447.jpg

Hoping this lasts longer than my F150 with ecoboost did. Shouldn't be a problem as that p.o.s. started giving me problems at 70,000 and was almost undriveable at 110,000 when I got rid of it.

So I'm in the market for a truck and have around a 20k budget. Crew cab and 4WD are required, and I drive about 80 miles a day for work, so I'm looking at compact/midsize when thinking about fuel economy.

Anyone have opinions on newer Nissan Frontiers?

Are you looking for a used truck? I think you're going to have a lot of trouble finding a new crew cab with 4x4 for under 30k. I'm looking at the 2017 GMC Canyon slt crew cab 4x4 and they're going for about 40k.

Yeah looking for used. I would like a new Tacoma, but it's not in the budget and used Tacoma's hold their value so well there aren't any that are less than 7 years old or have less than 100k miles.

    Have '13 Frontier SV 4x4

Like you I wanted a tacoma, but price wise the Frontier was much easier to swallow. Think I paid 26k in Nov '15 for a '13 with 24k miles. Excellent condition.

I drive about 10 mIles to and from work, so my gas mileage sucks (16-18). Put 12k on it in one year.

Interior is pretty boring, but functional. I hate the cloth interior with exaggerated mesh seats. I don't think your commute would be uncomfortable unless you're a really big guy.

Only used for light hauling and 4 wheel drive during shallow calrolina snow, but bothe have been sufficient for me.

IMO styling is acceptable, but trails Tacoma and Colorado.

Least favorite thing is that the gas tank can't fill as fast as gas pumps can pump. If you just squeeze the handle all the way or lock it it will fill for a couple of gallons, click off and gas runs all down the side of the truck.

I love it and imagine I will keep it until it falls apart.

was temporarily stuck in my driveway a few weekends back because of this. had to grab the gas can for my lawn mower and luckily had a gallon left in that. when i got on flat ground i had 165 miles to empty.

worst part was i started it and let it run for five minutes before i tried to back out. if i had backed out immediately i would've been fine.
