Sup brehs. Cherry be poppin tonight. Gonna get a geometric arrow on the back of my arm. Time to stop being a pussy and take the bulls by the horns.
What I want is a mixture of these 2 with other elements involved. I want the guardian angel(mother) to be holding the baby (me) like the one below. But flying across my chest like below Flying away from darkness(right side of chest), to the left side where the light is
2 years? Figured it is taking me forever to "get something meaningful" so said fuck it and got a design I've liked for a while. On the back if my arm. Thinking of doing some big water color piece on the side front then either a design or some script that I like on the inside.
David Hale and Kris Davidson basically came up together in the art scene. They used to collaborate on everything. David went a little bit of a different route and kris stuck with the sacred geometry
David Hale has an insane waiting list I want to get Kris' work on my thighs as my first tattoo very similiar to what I just posted above
Hale doesn't even take new clients. He puts out a monthly news letter and you can apply for one of the designs he includes. Not really sure how it works, but I'll be applying each month and get anything I can get.
at this point there are other artists I have grown more fond of. One of my best friends got this done by Brandon Crone
Yea. I know pretty much what I want, but an entire chest piece can't be cheap. My boss just got one done from someone local a few weeks ago and he started the process a year ago. So I'm figuring a year of savings and then start the process next summer to have it complete the summer after. May bump up the timeline though.
Will have to watch that after work. I watched a series(Ancient Knowledge) of videos on youtube once that mentioned sacred geometry. Was pretty thought provoking.
going in for an appointment with chris trevino on tues http://www.texasmonthly.com/the-culture/chris-trevino-tattoo-artist/
Sup fam. About to get some art. Designing it now with the artists. Lil abstract realism with water color.
i liked tattoos back in the day. I've even done a few very small pieces, which was absolutely terrifying. It's a love hate thing with me these days. Tattoos are represent less of a rebelliousness that they once did and today it's more of a self centered "hey look at how cool I think I am" kind of thing. As an art form, there is no doubt that there are great artists doing this stuff and the ability to put it onto skin is a never ending lesson. However the douchebaggery associated with tats makes me sick. Meathead MMA douchebags, Gym douchebags, Hipster douchebags, suicide girl douchebags, midlife crisis Harley douchbags. Newsflash, you are not unique in any way shape or form because of your "ink" nor do I care the retarded significance behind it. Die, Die, Die in a burning pit of hot coals and snakes.
I'll have a better shot later today, but here is from last night Spoiler http://i.imgur.com/jWEDaZp.jpg[/spoiler]
Had a really surreal moment last month. Out of no where I started thinking about my grandfather and got pretty emotional since he was an important part of my life before he passed. Ended up getting on the Internet and reading his obituary and it was 4 years to the day that he passed. Think that's a sign that I need some more work done.
Depends on where you go and how big the piece is. They'll also add on to the cost if you get color. I can't see that being more than a $100 piece, but I only have 2 tattoos.
I'm thinking this for my calf. Make the tree brown to green, take out the Ravens which I want in a different tattoo, maybe put in Fenrir and Sleipnir instead, and have Ratatoskr on the trunks somewhere.
I've wanted a tree quarter sleeve for about two years now. I chose mine one because i believe there is a higher power that binds us all together and for me its expressed in the the interconnections of life, nature, etc.
do any of ya'll have a tattoo in tribute to your kids? thinking about getting one for my two girls on me, but no clue on any ideas... been google imaging, but damn there are some terrible ideas. and no i won't take it to the dad's thread Spoiler i probably will
Mine is Yggradsil, the world tree. I'm sorta-kinda Norse pagan and about half my tattoos go that direction.
cant really find a good photo of it, but always have liked Justin Britt's sleeve. especially the trees. https://www.instagram.com/p/BGNd_FUGg58/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BGQE2gsGg8t/?taken-by=justinbritt68&hl=en
