Fuller would be a nice add and think he could be successful across from Green but I don't think it's worth drafting a one trick pony with a first round pick
Eh, I don't think he's just a deep threat. He was one of the best screen WRs in college football last year.
I like the player just don't think a cb was needed in the first, could have picked one next year. At the least hopefully this means Dre is gone after this season because he's terrible. Definitely need to go wr in round 2 now and hope they can add dl depth in round 3.
I'm biased but he was. I was one of the few Bengal fans hoping for him. Like the ultimate pick, though. Stooler fans were apparently pissed as they'd tabbed him as their guy. That makes me feel good. Was thinking DT, but this club has had better luck with DTs in mid-late rounds, so not too worried there. WR is my only position of real worry but the way the first round went, their hands were tied.
We don't have glaring holes outside of WR, so I'm fine with them taking BPA on their board after Fuller/Doctson/Treadwell were all taken.
Eifert to undergo ankle surgery, out 3 months. Spoiler When Tyler Eifert left the Pro Bowl in a walking boot following an injury to his left ankle on Jan. 31, the initial diagnosis and estimates for his recovery were promising. But in the nearly four months since, the ankle has not responded as quickly as all of the parties would have liked, and The Enquirer has learned from multiple league sources that the 25-year-old tight end will undergo what was deemed a "minimal procedure" on that ankle soon. A three month recovery is anticipated. The Bengals are expected to open training camp the last week of July. Eifert, who played in 13 games last season, finished with 52 catches for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns, emerging as one of the league's best at his position. The Bengals exercised Eifert's fifth-year option on April 13. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...-tyler-eifert-to-have-ankle-surgery/84854904/
Per Eiferts teammate from ND this injury is more serious then what they're reporting and he'll be out closer to six weeks. My brother told me last week about this but I was just hoping he'd be wrong. Eifert put off surgery for over a month because he wanted to go on vacations before having it. Guy is a complete tool but he's really good at football (when not hurt) and one of the most important players on the team. If he misses any real games I'm not looking forward to watching Dalton play without Jones, Sanu and Eifert.
ok, let's change the subject... i'm going to Columbus this weekend for a wedding. I am staying at the hyatt by the arena, any place cool to check out near there Vontaze Burfict ?
Depends on what you like. Walking north on high street will put you in the short north, which is a ton of cool bars and restaurants. Around the Arena and on Park Street there are more mainstream bars/restaurants and some of them can get pretty clubby at night. Walk toward downtown and you'll find some, but not as many cool spots. North High Brewing is worth a check, and is easily walking distance. If it were up to me, I'd bar hop the short north.
I read something on ESPN that said Bengals would be a good fit for Roddy White. As a Roddy White fantasy owner, I think he sucks, but he might just fit better in Cincinnati given our situation.
Sucks about Jackson but he was hopefully not going to play much this year. Really need Dennard to stay healthy because Dre stinks
you guys heard anymore on the kroft injury? will be bad if he's hurt and eifert isn't ready to come back in time.
They said it was hyper extended so I'm expecting a sprain, amount of weeks he'll be out will be determined on how severe the sprain is. Eifert is definitely missing the first couple regular season games so really need Kroft to be healthy week 1.
You should have went up to him and slapped his drink out of his hand... then looked at him and said.. "Yep, you still need practice"
That little white rookie had more good returns in three preseason games then Tate had in his entire career.
I don't know what they've ever seen in Bodine. He's been lousy since the day the picked him, and he's getting sodomized today. Dre is worthless, too. What a mess
Maybe actually try running the ball in the second half so the jets dl isn't just pinning their ears back all game.
Huge to get that win with Pittsburgh next week. Get through these early games with a solid record before we get back Burfict and Eifert. The defense plays at a different level with Burfict and Eifert obviously makes a big difference on offense.
Still psyched about the win today. My fantasy teams are getting worked, but that pales in comparison to a nice W on opening day.
Really unhappy with our line play on both sides. Other than that, not too bad. I think our passing game will be alright
