This secondary is so dirty. Honey Badger going to be a DPOY candidate. It's really weird to root for a team that is just really, really good and well coached. Not sure what to do with my hands

i'm about 6 episodes in now. it's so fun watching how the season went, but sad because i know what's coming.
i listen to 910 fox sports on iheart radio even though i'm in denver. a lot of people call in and are freaking about about the preseason. my dad taught me when i was young that the preseason is shit. if you have a team go 4-0 in preseason, they will probably be shit. so i've always wanted to lose at least 3 to start, then be healthy for the regular season. do you guys think the preseason will correlate to having a bad season?

Ugh, still in mourning... That defensive performance was pure trash. Mathieu will take some time to get back to his best but the rest of the non-Peterson secondary was just awful. Offense will be fine, but the lack of any kind of consistent pass rush last night coupled with that secondary has me a bit worried.
I wanted to cry when they passed on Hooker... but I actually love it. Cards could very easily have a devastating pass rush next year. Deep/flexible front 7, especially if Nkemdiche grows a pair. Dansby/Buchanon on base downs with Gunter, Rucker, Peters up front and Jones/Golden on the edges. Nkemdiche and Riddick in for Gunter/Peters in the nickel. Can throw speed and blitzing from anywhere. Still need a deep safety and a corner, hoping for Marcus Williams or Awuzie/King in round 2, maybe Juju if it falls a different way. Or Sidney Jones. Honestly there's like 10 guys I'd be super happy with at 45
Holy fuck did I love the Budda Baker pick, this defense has unlimited versatility and matchup potential. Didn't love giving up a 4th next year too, but nice to recoup this 4th in the trade down. Had never heard of the WR from Grambling so going to defer to 3rd round god Steve Keim

Never was a huge Palmer fan - Cards are clearly worse without him but at no point in his career was he someone that could win us a SB
True, even in 2015, when he really had an MVP caliber season he was brutal in the 2 playoff games. Still, going into the unknown is not fun. Could end up with Jeff Blake, Shaun King, John Skelton, Max Hall.... again
