I think there is one part in the episode where FSociety team (Darlene, Mobley etc.) made a crucial mistake. When they are taping the first time when Darlene is in the mask and the tape becomes defected, she goes to put it on the table and it falls behind the table. I clearly think they forgot to clean it up. When the FBI go to look for E Corp Lawyer, I believe they will find this tape.
Yeah, the bad tape definitely worries me. I didn't notice it falling behind the table so I'll have to re-watch that but aside from just giving us a little "behind the scenes" on them filming one of their videos it felt like we were seeing that for a bigger reason.
Yeah take a look at that scene again. I believe when she puts the tape on the table then turns around, you can see it fall off and hear the sound of it hitting the floor. I am sure when they dusted their prints to clean the place, they forgot about the first defected tape.
Just rewatched and it was pretty dark but definitely heard the tape falling as Darlene turned to get back into position to film. I almost wonder if it was just an accident while filming the scene because the actress playing Darlene is wearing the white gloves and maybe didn't have a great grip on the tape. If it doesn't come back at all it would be funny if they talked about that and how they just left it in as a red herring. The way the bad tape lasts long enough to catch Darlene taking the mask off makes me think it will come back to bite them.
It makes sense if her intention was to kill her all along...but that still doesn't explain making her house their HQ.
They needed a place for their HQ. She wanted revenge. I don't think it is much more than her wanting revenge and being able to take over the house.
I loved that episode. The Elliot stuff can be dense and tough to get through sometimes. Everything moved along nicely this ep. The last minute setup so much going forward. If the Dark Army starts killing FSociety this shit is going to get really nuts.
I mean, look at where their HQ was for season 1. An old arcade that actually had the name of their little organization right on it. When the FBI found the arcade Dom points out that hackers are brazen and like to hide in plain sight so they force E Corp's chief counsel out of her own home and set up shop. Had they not been pre-occupied with the Berenstain conference call stuff they would have noticed she was heading back and been able to clear out. Someone dropped the ball and now she's dead. As has been pointed out they appear to be getting a little sloppy and it couldn't come at a worse time as the FBI is pretty hot on their trail. Definitely think they could have taken Mobley out just like Cisco said they would if he left and got busted by the FBI. Obviously they're protecting Elliot and I think they might be protecting Darlene as well and Cisco was just giving an update with proof that he had her safely with him. She interprets that as something else and gives him a nice bop on the head.
Really enjoyed the episode but I wouldn't even dare to guess what happens next. Just holding on for the rest of this season's wild ride. Something funny, people have been commenting on the framing Esmail uses for the show since last season. There are several Youtube videos either praising it or parodying it. The shot of Price and White Rose tonight where they were all the way in the bottom right corner of the shot looked like this in Canada where the show airs on Show Case... Not a problem here in 'Murica where the USA logo is in the bottom left but up there they saw that.
What's the deal with Tyrell and Elliot thinking he killed him. Feel like I missed something important there.
When Elliot was in isolation or whatever Mr. Robot finally "admitted" to him that they/he killed Tyrell. I think that was a lie and Mr. Robot just wanted Elliot to stop asking him about it.
Pretty cool, the reddit user who first posted the prison theory after the first part of the season premiere aired was mentioned on the talk show thing they do after the episodes air tonight. Oddly enough, the guy who posted the theory hasn't made a post on reddit in nearly 3 weeks now. Dark Army got 'em.
When I first saw her, I was taken aback by her hotness. If she had a better rack, I would say yes. But, that's me. Some dudes don't care about that shit.
Closer look at the closing scene. Love the little details like the crosswalk signal counting down to the shooting and then the Lupe's sign ends up looking like it says "Lies." Kinda looks like some heavy blood spray coming from where Cisco's head was. I have to believe Darlene gets out of that alive and what looks like blood spray from her is just her hair as she quickly ducks. But I think we all knew Cisco was dead the second he started getting all lubby dubby with Darlene again.
so is Darlene dead or just her bf? Cause that FBI officer had someone's blood all over her. Also it seems like that FBI's superior is actively trying to sabtotage her investigation. i wonder if it's because of incompetence or someone from fsociety or that hacker group has him as their insider
and finally, do yall think Tyrell is still alive? If not then who the hell is calling her. also what did mr robot want in elliots apartment?
On her sexuality, Corneliussen has said: "I haven't quite decided if I like one sex more than the other, so I'm going with the flow on that one..."[15]
Show is back to the point is season 1 where I have no idea what the fuck is real or not with anything involving elliot.
So I'm like like 4 episodes or something behind but this show was much more enjoyable binge watching than waiting week to week.
FBI institutional protocol/inflexibility strikes me as a more likely culprit than deliberate sabotage. If Dom's boss were an insider, I think he'd be doing a better job of dissuading her investigation. Then again, I don't quite understand the Dark Army's intent with respect to Dom. She has twice survived assassinations.
I think it's the ex CIO who's calling her. Payback for tyrell killing his wife--unless he's dead, then I dunno.
Mr. Robot won the Emmy for outstanding music composition. And as far as I can tell we're only getting part 1 of the finale tonight. Thought we were getting the double-episode treatment like we did for the season premiere but doesn't look that way.
