He's not wrong, but it's still nonetheless hilarious: https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbss...articipation-trophies-rant/amp/?client=safari "We run out of bounds more than any team in the country. We're the easiest team in the country to tackle." I would not want to be a WSU Cougar this week; practice ain't gonna be fun...
i wonder if mike knows the stuff he's talking about sounds more like a poorly coached team than millennials ruining everything
This one is fantastic. I think I prefer the one when he talked about breakfast and how the chicken is involved but the pig is committed.
met him in Key West when he was living there between Tech and Wazzu jobs. Told my wife it'd be funny if we ran into him since I read an article about him living there at the time. Sure enough, we dropped our bags off and started down Duval St. I glance into a bar open to the sidewalk, "tree bar," and say holy shit there he is. So we sat and talked with him and Joe Glenn for over an hour. It was the most hilarious, random conversation I will ever experience.
my favorite line of his was about using coupons when you take a girl out, that way you'll be able to tell if she's snobby
Wasn't Wazzu supposed to be decent this year? He'll probably get canned if they don't go to a bowl, right?
i think they will still be decent. losing to an fcs team isnt a very good way to start the year though
I'm betting he's fine either way. The fact that people are listening to what wazzu's coach has to say is enough for right now. That program was nonexistent in the public sphere when Wolff was running it (into the ground)
"We don't tuck the ball and go straight upfield. No, we do all these stupid moves." "We don't like to run and hit, and this is a game for running and hitting."
"You receivers think you get credit for one of Michael Crabtree's plays? You're outta your fucking mind. Michael Crabtree made that play." Leach was/is/will always be the fucking man
Love leach the character, and loved him in college when we were beating Nebraska by 60 (gbr) but if you're 0-2 with that schedule, that's a coaching problem.
Love Leach. I hope he keeps coaching for a while. CFB is better when he's in it. I just would never want him coaching my team
Leach is just the best. He's crazy and his teams have a penchant for being terrible but I've heard more than a few elite coaches throughout football reference him as a guy they work with frequently in the offseason including Belichick and Urban.
Wazzu fan in my fb feed was saying he needed to go after the game -- complete insanity. Wazzu was a fucking forest fire when he got there, the program was completely dead. They won 9 games last year, Leach should get a statue outside the stadium.
First loss is inexcusable, but they lost to fucking Boise State on the blue turf by 3. I didn't see the game, but on paper, there is no shame in that loss whatsoever.
before he took over they actually had tryouts for 2nd string qb. plus they just won their first bowl game in over a decade. fuck the haters
"If it's a huge night and you're really having a good time you know you can trade computer schemes and emails and all that mischief people are up to on that nowadays that I know nothing about."
In the postgame against Boise he said the team "lacked toughness" but then went on to say that's on him and his staff.
He's a decent coach but after reading The System he came off as a world class asshole. Probably the reason he's had to coach at places like Lubbock and Pullman. I'm sure Big XII folks were well aware. Has he ever recruited very well? I know he's not coached around hotbeds of talent at all but he seems like a pretty hard guy to play for
