With all of our posters either visiting, moving, from, or lived there.

Anyway, this came through the newsfeed this AM. They did a very FB appropriate job of making me jealous af.

Westin is a great hotel, very comfy beds. The Alexis is another great place.

Obviously do the needle and Pike Place Market. If you're into art, there's the SAM. Go watch the Mariners at Safeco field, great park.

Well you gotta get chowder from either Dukes or Ivars. I rep Dukes. This is a casual lunch spot not a dinner spot.

Going to Seattle next weekend with a girl I know. I wanna check out Fremont Brewing and stop by Pike's market, but not sure what else. Looking for a ferry to take to an island (Bainbridge maybe?) because I think that would be cool scenery wise. Might check out the Chihuly museum. Thought about checking out a UW or Seahawks game/atmosphere, but they're both away. Can't go to Safeco, which really pisses me off as I love going to parks when I'm in a new city.

That Crow place mentioned above looks good. Basically looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot, sushi/oyster spot and breweries. And any place that would be good to watch college football/FSU game on Saturday. I prefer a fun, lively vibe restaurant with above average food than a place with incredible food and decent vibe.

My exact thinking, but apparently this is significantly larger? Judging by some of the pictures I saw there are some massive sculptures in Seattle. I could be way off base here though.

Definitely try the weed. Cannabis City > Uncle Ike's as far as my dispensary experience. Super Lemon Haze is a good strain to get cause that shit will keep you hype and ready to walk around and see some art, drink some IPAs and eat some good Asian or Mexican food

...and that's pretty much my Seattle advice. Didn't get to see a Mariners game but did check out a Sounders game which was really cool. Go to the little pep rally thing they do before the game in Pioneer Square, that shit was p cool

Walking around at UW is a pretty fun free activity. Check out the bars/restaurants beside it as well as the campus itself, the museum, and yeah Husky Stadium is rad af down by the water

Another cool free thing to walk through is Olympic Sculpture Park. I recommend being thoroughly :prawl:

Experience Music Project museum is not free but is cool af, especially if you're a fan of nirvana or Hendrix

"The first Starbucks" isn't worth the line. Go to the Starbucks reserve room/roastery if you're that big of an sbux fan :twocents:

I'll tell you what is worth it though, the Russian pierogi place right down from first sbux or that place where they make their own cheese :lick: (both right next to pikes place market)

The ferry is cool, but depending on the weather make your way up into the Cascades to Rainer National Park, or drive in the Cascades. The ferry is cool, but you can experience the sound from land....the beauty of Washington is the Olympics or Cascades.

You like wine? Go to Woodinville and you can have an amazing Syrah and turn around and head into the Cascades.

It's a great city. My favorite brew from the area? Georgetown. They do great work.

    Where are you staying?

Fremont Brewery is my favorite brewery out there, it's awesome. Right next to Fremont is another neighborhood, Ballard, that has 6-7 amazing breweries. Stoup, Reuben's, Populuxe, Peddler's, and more. All of these in Ballard are within walking distance, but Fremont Brewery you need an uber.

Pike Place is awesome. Even though it's touristy, it's still really cool, and the food is amazing.

Paseo's is great for lunch, in Fremont. Walking distance from Fremont Brewery.

Stateside is an award winning new place I tried last time I was out there, Vietnamese-French fusion, was incredible. Pricey, though. In Capitol Hill---which is a fun area to go out in, kind of a younger college crowd.

Taylor's Shellfish Farms is a really good seafood spot, amazing oysters. There's one in Capitol Hill and one downtown somewhere.

I don't think it'd be worth it to go to Bainbridge. There's not much there other than 2-3 bars and residential area. Could spend your time better elsewhere. Gas Works Park, also walking distance from Fremont Brewery, is a really cool park with a great view of the downtown skyline.

If you drive an hour north of the city to anacortes the whale watching cruises are pretty dope. You get to see some cool landscapes and a fuckton of orcas. And you are basically in Canada at certain points

The breweries are great, but cider is what makes Washington an elite alcohol state.

Awesome. Thanks for all of this.

We're staying at the Washington Athletic Club. Definitely going to Fremont and sounds like I can check out the Ballard area as well and maybe grab lunch. Pike Place appears to be within walking distance of where we're staying, so that should be easy. I've had a friend tell me Capitol Hill was fun, but not exactly what to do. Sounds like it may be a fun place to party so I'll check it out.

I only mentioned Bainbridge because it looked like a ferry went there and it may be good scenery wise? We'll probably end up skipping it.

Looks like that Taylor Shellfish and Stateside are a half mile from WAC, so we can walk and check that out too.

All those Ballard breweries I named are awesome, makes for a great day (if your girl doesn't mind walking to different spots and just drinking beer). Ballard and Fremont are incredibly walkable.

There's another brewery below Pike Place itself, I think it's just called Pike Place Brewery, that's pretty cool as well.

Capitol Hill is fun for late night and going out. Where you're staying you can pretty much walk to anywhere except Fremont and Ballard.

been on a project in Seattle for about 2 months now. Staying at the W downtown and Seattle in the summer has made this by far the best project set up I've had.

I've gained about 10 pounds making my way thru the Seattle Eater lists.

Girl I'm with has been to Seattle a few times before for work, which is what this trip is for as well. I fly for free so I figured why not check out Seattle since I have a free place to crash. She's letting me lead the way since she's been there before, so if I want to drink 9 IPAs while strolling around Ballard, I damn well will.

Also, I am a food nerd so can you tell me about some of these places- whether a yes or no? @ginbuckets and others, any help would be awesome

    Lark

    Il Terrazo Carmine
    Bar Cotto

    Wild Ginger?

What are y'alls thoughts on these? I'm looking for a good place with a nice view of the Sound, a good asian place, and a good place for lunch near Pike's Place. If you've got better options than what I've listed let me know pls. I'm staying in Capital Hill area so things around there would be best, but if it's worth the drive I'll glad drive. I know Il Terrazo isn't in that area but it looks works the drve
