It is a terrible trend. I made fun of a friend pretty relentlessly for having one a couple years ago.
is this soemthing in addition to a baby shower? can someone explain to the people who don't use the internet to get worked up about shit other people do
People throw parties where they reveal the gender of their kid via cutting into cakes, popping balloons with glitter, opening a box with balloons, among other means. All the while their guests are required to pick a side in which they are guessing the gender of the baby.
Instead of just finding out what the sex of the baby is people are having parties where they will cut into a cake that will either be pink or blue on the inside or open a box with pink or blue balloons inside. Just one more "look at me" party for people to have.
that's where my head was at too why would anyone ever go to one of these or give a single fuck about the self-important people throwing them?
I admit my ex and I had one, in my defense though we did not know either. A third party came to the ob appointment and got the gender from a nurse. So at least we were surprised too.
heard a lady in walmart bragging about her daughters party "they had a cake with Buck or Doe? written on it and then the Browning logos on each side and it was adorable"
Millennial fags also do "diaper parties" Look buds, you can come over and drink beer with me and hang out. But don't bring diapers and have a theme. I'm an adult, I can buy diapers for my kid
caused a rift in our family b/c i'm not on social media and knew nothing of the craze. Then my sister had one when i had other plans so i wasn't going. My wife and I didn't have one a year later when we were having a kid. edit: i am not in same state as said sister, so it's not like it was just down the road and i skipped out.
I'd probably wander upstairs to the main bedroom and grab one of the hosts shoes and shit in it....then put it back where it was and go eat some cake.
I'd be embarrassed to host a party like that, but the concept isn't really something I'd get upset with other people for doing.
my wife was telling a coworker how dumb they were after my sister's bitch fit. She went on about how stupid social media was and people having a "party" for everything now. Guy says, ya well my wife and I are having a reveal party. Wife, says "I still stand by my statements,"
My wife wanted to do a reveal party thing and I shamed her to the point where it seemed like she was a nazi sympathiser if she had one. We did not have one.
Didn't know what these were until a lady friend said she was going to one a few months ago and wanted me to come along. I passed, but honestly should have gone because it sounded pretty fun. Paintball with the paintball color being the "reveal"
I really can't think of much that I care about less than what the sex of someone else's baby is going to be
i read this as user A Congressman goes to shitty events with his bff because he's lacks a pair of balls
I'm just happy we no longer ever have to take anything NilesIrish says seriously Anything he says will be trumped by the fact that he had a gender reveal party
