I actually know Eric Thompson, funny enough (not the fishhead eater, just the tweeter). And c'mon, Dantes...I'm a Steelers fan.
My parents were old Baltimore Colts fans. We had the CFL Baltimore Stallions experiment in the mid-90's and we all went to a game. I was 11 or 12 at the time. It was decent. I remember Memorial Stadium looking rather ancient, but the overall atmosphere was good.
I went to my first South Carolina game sober in a while this weekend (Sunday afternoon game, just skipped the tailgate thing and went in). Gotta say it's a little more obnoxious than I usually realize, because I'm usually drunk too. People were just embarrassing level loaded on a Sunday afternoon, throwing shit, falling down drunk, etc. I was sitting in a premium ticket section too. /cfb fan realizes maybe we're not so different after all
I've seen plenty of obnoxious drunks at college games (I've definitely been one a time or two) but never looking for a fight. Only place I've actually had someone try to start a physical confrontation with me was at Illinois of all places. At the Arizona-Boise State Fiesta Bowl I saw a group of Arizona fans fighting each other.
Illinois was the only one where I was threatened during a game. Had Michigan State fans try to get in my face the night before the game, but not during game day.
I was going to say that you just gave Lyrtch and FactsRule spankbank material for at least the next 72 hours until I saw that the tackler was carrying double minority status. Better luck next time.
I will say while bills fans are one of the worst offenders in the NFL their tailgates look so much fun
One of my parents' good friends is their new offensive coordinator. I really wanna go up there & see this wild ass tailgating scene for myself.
How much money would you have to be paid to spend 3+ hours of your Sunday at a Bears/Jags game amongst these mischief-makers?
