Will be interesting to see how an adult staff and management deal with that. Has not been the case for his past teams.
I'll take Bud's track record Carroll became legit Millsap is a top 3 PF in the league now Bazemore went from bench to legit starter Timmy is on the verge of being a legit star in this league Muscala is a fucking boss Literally every player he has bet on over the last few years has worked out.
Winning games really helps the attitude. That and a coach who knows what he's doing and can handle challenging and difficult personas. I think Dwight will be fine. Coach Bud will guide him to his niche on this team and develop him. After turning over 60% of the roster that won 20 straight, developing the bench players on that team and last year's team into effective and winning starters this year, making fiscally sound and shrewd deals via trade and FA in the offseason to add a massive defensive piece and quality bench players, and having great team depth with 2 other potentially major contributors injured is just incredible to me. I'm excited to see Bud develop Bembray and Prince too. Team is good.
Pretty much this. Whatever problems he's had in the past, he is now the face of the team and is contributing immensely. I'm hoping he'll be able to give the same production at the end of the season/playoffs.
Seriously fuck Brad Rowland. He is still arguing the THJ trade was bad because of years of control. Bud created a monster that is coming off the bench that looks like he can be a 20 ppg starter soon and this guy is still bitching about the trade. I need to block the guy so he never pops up on my timeline again.
Starting to see a lot more wannabe Zach Lowes like him that suddenly think theyre an authority on the NBA out of nowhere He was fine until he started talking down to ppl and an analytics know-all
I dont understand how he can say its bad when you watch what THJ is doing right now. Didnt we give up the rights to Jerian Grant?
We traded down in that draft from 15 to 19 for 2 second rounders. We traded rights to 19 for THJ. If I had to guess it would have been Bobby Portis, Justin Anderson, R.J. Hunter or Montrezl Harrell but that's purely me guessing looking back on who was available at 19. If we had stuck at 15, probably would have been Kelly Oubre or Sam Dekker. Again, completely guessing based on me looking back and what I remember about need from that draft.
Its impressive how Bud has dealt with staff turnover I thought our offense would take a hit losing Atkinson
After Whiteside yesterday I was scared going up against a team as big as the Bucks, but this has been great.
much deserved article from Mannix after his summer slurpfest of his Celtics signing Horford http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-dwight-howard-has-made-the-hawks-better-173657219.html
"It comes down to this: Horford will forever rank among Atlanta’s most popular players, but for this team, Howard might be better." How can you only use the word might right now?
i am about to take a nap since unc plays at 1am. recording the game and avoiding the score till then gonna be a late night.
I think I prefer when we have starters mixed in with subs as opposed to the starting 5. Is that weird?
love the way Thabo and Korver coach up Prince during timeouts lord knows he needs it after scott drew
Schroder isn't half the player Teague is. Dwight will be routinely injury plagued and become more and more pouty when he's on the floor. It's already happening. Bench is also weaksauce. They'll get back on track I'm sure but losing to the knicks and the pellies back to back is pretty pathetic.
This team is too up and down right now. Beat Cleveland earlier now they're winning maybe half their games. Kind of worried, someone get me reassurance that they'll be better late in the season.
Paul is missing, but we really need to fix the starting lineup. Even when we were doing well they had a negative rating.
