Just started this without knowing it was a Brazilian subtitle show. I guess I don't mind that, but it makes it harder to watch mindlessly in the background. Anyone watched this know if it's worth my time?
A friend of mine suggested watching this the other day. He likes it, but I haven't had time to start it.
"The show is set in a future wherein people are given a chance to go to the "better side" of a world divided between progress and affluence in the Offshore, and devastation and poverty in the Inland, but only 3% of the candidates succeed." It's centered around the kids that are taking part in the "test" that decides who goes offshore. Only 3% of them will get off. Show is in Portuguese with English subs.
you can change the language to english. The dub isn't great but the show itself is very good. Already finished it. Really enjoyed it. Michele has a nice set of tits on her. Spoiler: season finale spoiler below really liked that the final test was willingly giving up your right to reproduce because they are convinced that merit is the only way you should be able to get into the offshore. Also, Fernando got played hard. Doesn't get the girl and has to go home without the money. Soup
Is it any better dubbed than Marseille? I tried that and the words didn't match up very well with the subtitles. Don't really get why they weren't the same, you would think the dubs would be from the same script.
the words are often different in this, but it doesn't take away from the show imo. Netflix did a pretty poor job paying for the dubbing. Ex. one of the main characters name clearly should be pronounced Mi-shell, but for what ever reason is pronounced Mi-shell-e
Started this tonight. Im halfway through Ep1 and turned off the English dubbing. Was too distracting and just went w subtitles. Only 30 min in, but like it. It's cold as shit and I ain't got shit to do this weekend so probably will knock it out before Monday
