feel like this is a pretty good week for matchups and plays, i'm in several cash games and a couple tourneys. Not high stakes by any means but hopefully i'll make a little. Had Marquess Wilson in a ton of lineups and just pivoted off him for Gabriel or Boldin, due to possible snow and weather concerns in Chicago.
Thought I had some good lineups going into yesterday. Specifically, I thought NO would put up a lot on DET so took Brees and a couple NO players. Those oves ruined one of my lineups w/ Brees and M. Thomas hardly scoring. My two TEs yesterday were Olsen and Bennett who both were pretty much non-existent.
I ended up cashing for $35 but it was against a $31 investment. my per contest return was pitiful. I feel like i have a decent grasp of picking lineups but I need to work on my contest selection.
Finished 300th in the milly maker Sunday. Good for $300. If Tyrod didn't dick it up the 2nd half, I was in line for a major score.
Thoughts on stacking Dalton/Lafell or Boyd/Eifert in GPP this week? Falcons versus LA might be ripe for a stack as well, or at the very least some value plays with Aldrick Robinson at WR and Hooper/Toilolo at TE. Feel like Gabriel will be highly owned if one or both of the main guys don't play, and its looking like Sanu definitely won't. Quinn would be wise to sit Julio, they won't need him and turf toe is a motherfucker.
Sitting at 236th in a $3 Thursday Kickoff contest with 181 points before Taylor Gabriel's bomb TD. Still also have Sterling Shepard left, he has a monster game. DK stopped updating before the Gabriel TD
Falcons giving up another BS td didn't help but at 198 with Shepard to play. Contest goes thru Monday, so could really use a huge night from Shep. Cowboys so far this season aren't good against the slot.
I had a big weekend. Played on fanduel for $6 and took 7th in the big $5 single entry for $1000 and 18th in the single entry $1 for $50. Made $573 off of $47 in entries on DK with 201 points.
Deciding to go against the grain and not roster Bell ended my day pretty early yesterday on DK. Won $75 and $30 in 2 afternoon contests on FD on like $5 investment
I'd say I'm equally bad on both . I seem to do better in the smaller slate fields so I basically play every one of those I can <$5 now. DK has been terrible for me this year but I think it's because I don't play Bell/Johnson as much as others and they have been almost can't miss plays every week.
that's one thing i've not thought about is playing Afternoon Only or Mon/Thurs contests. Seems like in a 50/40 that might work well because the range of possible outcomes is smaller, so its harder for some idiot to get lucky and, say, start Bilal Powell
Yeah, I would have cleaned up even more winnings on FD but had Martin/Hyde at RB. I tend to play different lineups between FD/DK on the short slates too that way I usually have one that is possible to hit big. Had Forte on almost all of my DK late slates so that fucking bombed me from the start.
Ended up finishing 74th with 205.14 which netted me $150 on a $4 entry. 76th was 205.06 and only won $100. Could have been a better day if I rostered Malcom Mitchell or Garçon at similar prices to Shep. Oh well. Won a 20 person $5 buy in contest and placed in another free roll for a decent weekend.
Y'all got any tips on NBA Draftkings??? I do well with my NFL lineups, but I can't seem to ever score more than 250 on my NBA lineups and am consistently in the bottom 25%. Shit is driving me crazy.
If you are trying the scrubs and stars approach every night, try a more balanced lineup. Having said that, NBA is all about opportunity. Minutes/usage are key.
You know what guys... I finally had a banging lineup, and in the Christmas tourny last night I got 160th out of 117k. Won $100.
Almost did this too, but ended up just using Harden and Freak. My problem is I don't know enough about the lower-echelon players to be able to make a stars/scrubs lineup. I'm learning, but just started playing NBA about 3 weeks ago.
I wouldn't say Montrezl is a must start but good cap room at center and he's averaging about 30 as a replacement for Capela.
Did three lineups, my own and then 2 variations with your suggestion of Greek Freak, AD, and Harden and then with some rotogrinders optimizer lol: 1. Kemba, Jamal Crawford, Harry Barnes, Speights, Cousins, Felton, Barton, CJ McCollum 2. Greek, Harden, Stanley Johnson, AD, Meyers Leonard, Felton, Tolliver, Pat Patterson 3. Greek, Harden, Jeremy Lamb, Milsap, Meyers Leonard, Felton, Stan Johnson, Myles Turner
. Good luck. Looks like one of the cheapies to have was Meeks. Morris and Porter off to good starts as well for cheaper plays.
gotcha, yeah i saw he had a slow first half. He's a good bet most nights, dude loves to score and zero fucks given about defense.
