Nainggolan doesnt seem like the type to be solely motivated by money. He has said he enjoys life in Rome where it is sunny every day unlike England. He also likes that he is treated as a Roman despite being from Belgium. He literally said last month he has no intention of moving on, even without a new deal being agreed to officially.
I prefer to believe the trashy gossip paper with a poor track record who says he is unhappy! Seriously though I think we make him say no (or Roma say no) in the summer before moving on to other targets. There are not that many guys who can play box to box in a 2 man midfield and also chip in with goals and he is one of them.
Going with cesc over matic. Looks like conte is expecting their to be some bus parking from our opposition. I am also interested to see what Willian can do playing on the left side. It is his preferred side but hazard has forced him to adapt to being a right sided player. Hopefully it gives him a spark. My guess is 2-1 Chelsea
That was an unbelievable save. Certainly wouldn't get a save like that from a midfielder with gloves on like Claudio bravo.
Can't say I saw this coming. By the way, it is a year to the day of Mourinho's last match away to Leicester.
I've been pretty clear that I don't think cesc fits what we typically ask of our central midfielders but I think he deserves a ton of credit for how he has dealt with this change. You are talking about a star and one of the biggest names in the country getting hooked during an embarrassing defeat, the team switches formations, goes on a massive run, transfer rumors galore, and you didn't hear a peep from him.
Why would have thought that Chelsea, a club run by a Russian oligarch, would have the club record sale be more than the club record buy.
Tons of possession and awesome build up from Costa, Willian, and Hazard. Not sure how this Palace side aren't better, seem to have talent.
Watching at the football factory in NYC. If any of you find yourself in NYC for a Chelsea game you need to come here. Best place outside of England to watch a match.
So Costa misses a home fixture with Bournemouth on Boxing Day. Could be worse I suppose. Cards reset Jan. 1. We host Stoke on New Years Eve.
Ivanovic? Maybe with Moses on a yellow he wants another guy who can afford to make a yellow card challenge?
I've only been before a USA tour match but was a great time. Nevada Smiths was great back in the day but I understand it's not there anymore. Was the first big "soccer bar" iirc.
If conte can make Moses a wing back, costa a disciplined elite striker, cesc a complete midfielder, Luiz an elite centerback and Ivanovic a serviceable wingback does that make him the best ever?
Not counting any chickens before they hatch, but it's conceivable we could enter the midpoint 1 point back from where we ended last year?
I think we will go with Matic and cesc. Would expect the wing back to be a bit more cautious which would make the formation have 4-3-3 aspects with Luiz as the shield
James Rodriguez is reportedly in Bogota and visited the British Embassy to finalize his visa . I won't believe it 'til he follows Chelsea on Instagram.
Even if it happens I'm not sure it's a good move for the money being discussed. Can't help but be excited at the idea of turning Oscar into james though.
