Yeah i was talking to Hoss Bonaventure about that last night. i just can't imagine caring so much about something so irrelevant.
DPS only babies are really butt hurt about the current meta. Most used lineup at MLG Vegas was 4 tanks and 2 healers. Wowsa. https://www.overbuff.com/blog/2016-12-20-overwatch-hero-meta-report-tanks-for-watching FE: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20752566546 This is a prime example of the people that ruin OW imo. Everyone would want to play DPS, but people like this guy probably ONLY play DPS. I'm loving the new meta.
So old, and I'm sure most have seen it as it has 3.6 million views, but I don't remember it being posted here. Def lost at "I'm gay" ETA: Germans. Golic to ND. Etc
You are the vast minority. Everyone loves the game and for good reason. it is hands down the best comp shooter since early cods and will dominate the esports scene for years to come. But i suppose you have a BlazingRebel esque approach to gaming and would prefer games not be played a month week after they're released
Blizzard is starting an esports league specific for overwatch. It's a huge success like anything blizzard makes. That comment was confusing, as millions of people are still playing overwatch.
in the silver/gold range, playing a toon well means more than the meta. Less coordination of ults. When solo queueing if you can get a few people working together and making calls to each other, you will win a lot.
I can mostly agree. 2-2-2 helps a lot but doesnt always work. i'm +600 or so this week in that range playing mostly zen and symmetra. would be doing better if i could find a hero to play consistently on koth maps. The 6-10 matches i've played in silver/gold as a six stack were pretty much identical to solo queue. one group even made me solo heals and complained because we were losing until i said maybe the fucking junkrat could be heals since he has no sustain and cant hold a point. dude then complained that he thought he was doing better as junkrat while we came back from down 0-2. bunch of 12 year olds that dont even know proper terminology for the game despite 100+ hours of play time is all silver/gold is.
The only thing really getting on my nerves right now is constantly getting suspended for leaving after the final score has been decided but before the final score screen. shit's over, so i leave. i shouldnt be expected to sit around another 15 seconds waiting on defeat to pop up.
...... Wait 10 more seconds until defeat shows up. You cannot possibly complain about doing that, you have to click through another window warning you to wait. Seriously what? How do you keep getting suspended when you know you have to wait an extra 10s
Because I just want to get to the next match. It has happened after wins too. But mostly I'm always very high and just do it not thinking because the majority of the time i never see the round complete screen before the defeat/victory screen. autopilot and such.
I'll never get to grand-master. I get so close and then go back to down. This has been in ongoing issue for the past 2 or so weeks
Did someone really talk down about this game? It's absurd good. It got me back into FPS after a few years of being bored of them. Last week I solo queued a bunch. Dropped from 2500s to 2000. I am unreasonably upset. Loling at how angry I am honestly. The game is legit consuming my spare time. On Xbox: Blazeski
How many of you guys are on Xbox? Bought the game when it came out and played a bit with some friends but they didn't play it all that long but I've been wanting to get back into it if I can find some guys to roll with.
I'm actually really jelly at the amount of Xbox bros compared to PS bros who are into Overwatch here.
I'm on Xbox. Never played with any TMBers so feel free to add me. I play like every damn day cause I have issues with addiction (to video games). Always down to party up & comp out. I widow/torb main 24/7 and don't believe in objective time. That's chill right? So chill.
got steam rolled by an attack symmetra earlier. makes me wonder if she could work attacking on 2CP maps.
Played for the first time yesterday. Had about a 5 K/D with tracer in several games and sucked with pretty much everyone else.
that was pretty much my first experience. the game is so different than other shooters that it takes some time to learn exactly what the fuck is going on. and learning the heroes is super important even if you don't play them. but there's quite a few heroes that are great entry points because they're so familiar (soldier, mcree, tracer) while others are much harder to learn and use properly (ana, zarya, mei)
In love with this game lately. XBOX1 GT : dharvey09 been playing with D.VA a lot. Getting real good gonna play almost every day if anyone wants to party up a lot
story of my journey from 1550 to 2000: zenyatta story of my journey from 2000 to 2500: actually found a couple of good groups to get through some matches i wouldn't have won otherwise. struggled finding a hero to play on koth, still really unsure but i've just been playing zenyatta/mei/lucio. symmetra/zen on defense. ana/zen/lucio/reaper on offense. got stuck floating from 2k-2.2k because of koth but had a nice win streak to get out.
10 game losing streak puts me comfortably back in mid gold. the most fun things i have encountered: attack junkrat soldiers who don't kill pharah sombra, a lot of sombra 4 stacks instalocking dps people who think solo healing triple tank with a lucio is viable people who think solo healing triple and quad dps with ana is viable zarya as a main tank matches on top of matches without a rein even more soldiers who don't kill pharah. like, seriously, it's an epidemic. people who think you don't need a healer if you have a symmetra people who lock symmetra before i do and clearly have no idea how to play the bitch. first of all, if it takes more than a minute to get that ult you're doing it wrong. second of all, GOD DAMN SHIELD GENERATOR NOT THE FUCKING TELEPORTER in like 95% of situations. the endless trickle of people who have no idea what they're doing seriously, someone needs to shoot down the pharahs and while zen can help with that it is irresponsible for me to be throwing balls into the sky hoping two connect dps anas healers who position themselves in the front people who spam group up immediately before attacking the point by themselves variance is a bitch, yeah?
1. mystery 6v6 is playable although i did end up in a match earlier that was 3 pharahs and 3 zens at one point. it was terrifying. the snowball fight is bad and nothing but trolls and people quitting. that being said the little grinding i did was in the snowball fight. i mostly just bought loot boxes. 2. don't be surprised if 6v6 elimination is the next major game type added. kaplan keeps emphasizing testing game modes in arcade before investing resources into building maps. pretty sure he's talking about elimination. i really fucking hope not tho as i would rather have some version of ctf.
mystery 6v6 is trash. whichever side gets more DVAs wins, unless you're on hanamura, in which case, defense wins. 3v3 elimination sucks too. you either pick roadhog, ana, dva or lose. none of these modes are fun which is exactly why they have to fucking bribe us to play them.
you vastly overrate dva, especially in random and solo queue environments. a good sym/zarya/zen/reaper/hog and she gets absolutely melted. the proper way to play dva is to defense matrix spam in dudes faces, solo queuers just fire constantly and resort to defense matrix when death is near.
DVA 80% pro usage rate 55% pub winrate let alone in mystery heroes where the enemy team is a bunch of shit that DVA feasts on
that's a nice win rate but like torb's is higher so i doubt it's a good indicator of a hero's abilities none of us are pros. i doubt any of us play on well structured teams that have the right tanking and heals to make dva what she is in the pro scene. not only that but most of her counters are non meta so teams that stick to the meta will have a more difficult time dealing with her, much like pro teams do. she's very good right now but the best in triple tank which just isn't run correctly in most situations below the pro and gm levels. a well rounded comp these days might consist of one maybe two counters to her, both of whom have other things to be doing. a solo queue comp is likely to have more and better counters.
Went on a tear last night with Super Vegeta and hit my career high (3132). I told my GF I'd get off after our next loss at about 11. Got off OW at 4:45 AM when we came upon a 3700 ranked team full of grandmasters. And Odin of your list of encounters nothing pisses me off more than a 2+ stack instalocking DPS. There's supposed to be 1 fucking DPS. A team of 4+ is not going to win. If I see 4 DPS picks, I am counting it as a loss and picking DPS as well. If they are all in a group I may send a message like "Group of 4? 4 DPS. Cool."
