Yeah, that's why I'm assuming everyone has access. Just want them to officially confirm it when they explain Trudy next season.
True. Just today... http://variety.com/2017/digital/news/man-in-the-high-castle-season-3-amazon-1201951266/ I would hope they take their momentum and get something out before next December again....
Spoiler Him having himself hauled off to be put down in the finale then seeing Trudy alive in this reality sent a pretty big signal to me that he's going to be alive somewhere down the line.
Spoiler makes sense. I could easily see John, in his now even elevated power and access to Hitler's film room, somehow learning how to go somewhere and having a reunion of sorts.
late to the convo finished season 2 last night, great finish One theory i have read in terms of going between timelines: for a person to travel between, your other self has to have died in the other timeline. Tagomi's other self killed himself. Kotomichi's other self must have died during the war allowing him to travel. Julianna's sister died in this world, then she was able to travel back.
right, his other self must have died, thus allowing him to come into the main world the show is based in
you're body doesn't change, you just travel to the other side. Koto in the Nazi world dies in combat while in war. Koto in the alternate world (US wins) is wounded by the atomic blast. Since his Nazi self is dead, he is able to come into the show realm and live out his life as if he never died. (or he could have created a new identity)
When he was talking to the US version of Julianna. she mentioned that she ran after him on the bridge and was worried that he had jumped. She couldnt find him through the fog and thought he had, hence his disappearance. In actuality the US versoin did jump, and thats why the Nazi version was able to come through or so the theory goes
Loved season 2. John Smith is an awesome character and its great how they don't make a world where the Nazis win some hell on earth. Some technology is more advanced, neighborhoods seem clean and children behave themselves. Then you see the emptiness of the doctor's funeral, how its all about the state and individuals don't matter. Also, at the end of season 1 I thought Juliana was annoying and Joe was interesting, now its the opposite.
So much good to great TV shows out there it's impossible to keep up with all of it. Think God for stuff like DVR, streaming services, and Kodi.
I just finished season 2. Takes coming in hot: Spoiler John Smith is the best character in the show. Really like him. Nice little surprise ending with Truly showing up. I could do without all of this alternate reality shit. It doesn't make the show unwatchable but it just seems unnecessary. It makes it all overly complicated. Nicole Becker is very hot The visuals are pretty amazing in places, especially the ones of Berlin around the Nazi high command. I give it a 7/10. Will be interesting to see where season 3 goes, the end of S2 felt like almost a series finale until Trudy appeared. I'm not even sure what the main storyline is for S3. At this point all the Nazis in power we've mostly been sympathetic to. There's a lot of personal story lines they can still draw off of but those aren't as interesting to me as the Nazi/Japan stuff. Agree with earlier comments I have to turn on captions because I can't hear anything in this show, especially with the accents.
I binged both seasons this weekend after watching the first three eps back when it was originally released. I really like the story and season 2 was action packed, but I don't like how they seem to be half-in with the alternate reality stuff. maybe it will come in season three, but they need to actually commit to it and explain it in a way that makes some sense. as others have said, Smith and Tagmomi are the most interesting characters to me. Smith could carry the show himself he is so well-done. I really liked the potential of Joe's father with his engineering background, but obviously he wasn't long for the position. hopefully next season gives us further insight to these alternate realities. I also would like a further look at the neutral zone outside of Canyon City, but if we never see DJ Qualls again I won't be upset either.
Just finished It's a pretty clunky show with all these teases of being great. I hope it gets there in S3. Has all those signs you look for in great prestige television like the ensemble cast, great sets and cinematography, interesting plot, but it struggles with narrative arcs, pacing, and making me give a shit about anyone's plight Rufus Sewell (Smith), Tagawa (Tagomi), and Joel de la Fuente (Kido) really really really carry it. Only characters I can really feel anything for
theres an amazon ad I saw that said 2018 I know they released a long clip a little while back so its getting close. says early 2018 so likely to be February or March
might just be me, but looks like they had a bigger budget for Season 3 already a season 4 confirmed so this has me excited
I saw Amazon posted a recap along with that teaser and thought it might be 5-10 minutes long. It's 30 minutes long. I still might watch it at some point just because it has been a while.
