so for those that have seen it, better than the original? I'm not sure I can take anymore excitement for the 10:45 showing
Just got back. Great movie. Loved that everyone in the theater was so into the movie and the multitude of ways JW kills everyone. Spoiler favorite kill for me was when he had the guy pinned with the shotgun to his chest, tries to shoot, is empty, reloads, then blasts the dude in the chest.
You were right, movie is fantastic and story was better. On edge of seat entire movie. Love where they are taking this series.
Just got out. Was thoroughly entertained. Spoiler Think the first one was better. I can't say why, really. I just was more captivated by the first. I liked the marker thing, but wish there was more to it. Like how do you aquire one, how did John giving one to this guy get him out. Feel like those things would have made it for me. But in fairness, there's clearly going to be a Chapter 3: Excommunicado, and I suspect they left some things vague for that reason.
John Wick is just wonderful. This was better than the original because it was given a better budget. It's going to open at like $30m and get a third greenlit. The world building here is unmatched to be honest. There is so much to it, and since the first film came out I STILL think The Continental would be a great fucking TV series to create around.... Favorite Kill - Posted above in spoilers. I'm just lazy Opening to this film is probably, maybe, the best part of the film....
Spoiler I wonder how many movies in this series they have planned? Obviously at least three, how old is Keanu? Does he have 5 or 6 of these in him? What all comes with being excommunicado from this community? A worldwide bounty on his head and no access to the resources (guns, car garage, etc.) So in chapter 3 John kills everyone, and goes and gets his car from the body shop. So I guess the future movies would have to be prequels since everyone will be dead after chapter 3. Also I enjoyed the pencil kills.
Metal gear solid fans Spoiler when he was going after dantonio and going through all the tunnels it reminded me of mgs2 tanker fight where you had to fight all the guards in that hallway
Spoiler This movie reminded me of playing Grand Theft Auto. When he got hit by a car like 3 times in that taxi cab warehouse I was in tears. I also was floored at the entire homeless population being part of the universe.
Think the latter is nod to Spoiler his relationship to the homeless population. He regularly buys them food and will even eat and shoot the shit with them.
Since this is now partially the Lego Batman thread, it is awesome. Most underrated part was Billy Dee Williams finally getting to play Two-Face
Going to a dine in movie tonight for date night with the wife. The only 2 showing in the dine in theater were 50 shades or John wick. I said it was her choice. She chose john wick. it's the little things that remind me why I married her
