I like they didn't take the obvious angle of the kid actually being a terrorist. Now it is going to LOOK like he was and he actually wasn't. This plot has a lot more potential for the season than the other, IMO.
Kind of a reboot of Brody being blamed for blowing up the CIA. Interesting twist here is we don't know who framed this kid. It seems like this time it is the CIA or FBI but that's almost too obvious. Maybe it's the other two kids that worked at the same place.
Yes. The easy guess is that he works for Dar since he's been keeping tabs on Carrie, but who knows. I'm trying to convince myself that it is that philanthropist guy somehow fucking Carrie for who knows why.
It was an entertaining ep, but kind of a throw away. Just an excuse to put Quin on the back burner and for Carrie to find those pics Slow start, but I do like this seasons after the last two eps. Definitely a slower burn than usually but Im good w mixing it up
Seems like they want the viewer to think Dar is behind this all. It appears He is isolating the president elect without access to her staff or the whitehouse. I also don't think he liked Saul's freelancing re: going to the west bank to talk to Iran. I could see him setting everything up with Israel to make it seem Iran was breaking the treaty even though they aren't. Clearly after he caught Saul falling for carrie's lies he may have thought he could dupe him as well. Iran backing out of the treaty gives him ammo to go to the president elect and scare her to death to continue current plans rather than the total shift of policy she was planning. But, it's hard for me to think Dar is behind the car bombing. Seems a bridge too far. This episode moves the plot forward nicely. Should be fun to see where it goes.
two things really suck: simple jack and dialog including preschool kids. having them together is the worst. 20 minutes into this episode and I want to destroy my tv.
Too easy to think Dar is behind this. But setting off a bomb in NYC isn't believable. How does madam president elect view Carrie and Dar after this??
Does she look at her sequestering as another act by the IC to keep her in the dark? Will she look more negatively at Carrie? Dar never said anything about them meeting. Just put her name out there. Will be interesting to see what she does with that.
What was the whole point of the Alex Jones clone outside of a "political comment" on Alex Jones and the like?
I am beginning to think some of the Alex Jones' "followers" are the people watching Carrie and the people that framed the muslim kid. I thought the retired general the tv/radio guy was interviewing looked a lot like the guy Quinn saw in the apartment across the street. But they were an episode or two apart and I'm too lazy to go back and check that. So, I wonder if some paramilitary group is behind all this to frame the muslim kid as a terrorist bomber to further a political agenda. Just spit balling...
Curious to see who is behind keeping Madame President elect all locked up and keeping her in the dark.
Back to back 45 mins eps. Wooooooof Want more clarity with Saul. Nothing has really happened this season and it's what, over half done?
Kind of want the children and youth services chick to end up feeling some serious wrath at some point this season.
Hate the child services shit but intrigued by Iran guy/Saul though the president elect is a cunt. Quinn needs to recover and start killing people
Did they really need to spend most of this episode dealing with the kid? Like right after a bomb goes off in NYC, Saul having problems with Mossad, the Iranian dude in NYC and the president elect being held against her will? And on top of that you have the ex wife of Alan from 2 and half men play that role?
Just a vehicle to have Carrie get off her meds and start drinking again... crazy Carrie is best Carrie (or so the writers believe).
Is all of this just so the president-elect can't push her agenda? I'm guessing yes but treason seems a bad way to go about it.
Im starting to really enjoy this season. It's been a very different kind of Homeland. I get why other people may not like it. Definitely more of a political thriller (for lack of a better term) than an action/spy based that we're used to.
Dar is pulling all the strings, kinda bums me out but he'll probably get his. Still interested what the building the FBI agent went to was all about. This is probably the best season since the 1st.
like Quinn much better as bad ass...this stroked out versus sucks and needs to go on. Also tired of the Carrie and her daughter fill in stuff.
I assumed it was just Alex Jones knock off's studio but it could have been a space in that big building. Hell, his studio could be in there.
Who is the dude that is getting interviewed? Do we know him, I feel like he looks familiar but not sure.
Some Iranian financeer that Dar/Mossad(whoever else) used to make it look like Iran was cheating on the deal.
Thought it was better that he didn't pull the trigger, now he has the location of the henchman and can take him out. Absolutely loved the last 2 episodes.
For sure Quinn taking out that guy is going to be great. Somehow I feel like Dar is going to escape all of this. Has another season been announced yet? Edit: they already have 7 and 8 signed.
