Yeah agree 100%. I have to imagine most people just don't like changing blocks on general? If anyone is actually against it being lighter later, they can frick right off
This is actually the only day I don't love DST. The first day sucks because of the lost hour. When I get off work tomorrow, I'll remember how fucking awesome it is.
I am getting a double dose. Live in CST and am in EST for work tomorrow. 2 hour difference. /lookatme Still better than the poor bastards who used to join me at a conference from the West coast on the weekend of time change. Turned into a 4 hour swing for them when we held it on the East Coast.
My assistant called and will be 20 minutes late to a meeting with a new client because the time change is "kicking her ass" and she overslept and is having a bad morning. Nothing drives me crazier than being weak-minded enough to let such a small change affect you. My mom and aunt play the time change card for over a week, never mind the fact that they go to bed anywhere from 8pm to 1am on any given night, but that one hour difference really throws them for a loop. Drink a fucking cup of coffee and move on with your life.
Sounds like you need a new assistant. Or you should tell her you expect her to be an hour early when we set it back.
I just don't understand who isn't just sleeping the same amount and getting up an hour "later" on Sunday. Unless you have a church service to get to or something it shouldn't impact you past Sunday morning.
Don't they switch this shit on Saturday night so it won't affect people getting up for work on Monday morning? Why would anybody not have gone to bed at the same time last night that they would any other Sunday night? I'm so confused as to how anybody thinks they lost an hour today.
the day of spring ahead is consistently the day with the most fatal car accidents going back to the last 60 years or whenever they started keeping those stats. its fucking madness we still do this, its already been proven that we actually LOSE energy with the DST changes.
At least mine's currently passed out in my lap now, not that I can get any more sleep but hey maybe tomorrow.
Kids all woke up at 545. Need to adjust our schedule now. It usually takes about three weeks to settle in.
