Oh yeah, super political folk rock just screams Mobile shut the fuck up A Mobile move would have been to put a Jimmy Buffett album there.
My favorite part about this album is that there are 10 songs on the record and the two best songs , at least IMO, that were recorded during this session were left off and never released: I've Got No Dark Side and So Long Jerry. Or at least I don't think they were ever offically released. The Mollusk and White Pepper could be considered perfect albums. The Pod, Pure Guava, God Ween Satan would be perfect if you could take a compilation of those songs by best live performance. Some of the earlier studio stuff is too out there even for a huge ween fan like myself. Also... Davie Howie - Hunky Dory and the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust Beatles - Revolver, Rubber Soul, and Sgt. Peppers Pink Floyd - DSOTM, Animals, WYWH, The Wall Oasis - Definitely Maybe Velvet Underground and Nico and Loaded Rolling Stones - Exile on Main St
Yeah would definitely agree with The Mollusk and White Pepper. More so The Mollusk for me, but I wouldn't argue against either.
These were basically on repeat for me through junior high. I still throw the blue album on if I'm on a road trip and just let it play.
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Cursive - The Ugly Organ Daft Punk - RAM Clash - London Calling Against Me! - As the Eternal Cowboy AFI - Black Sails in the Sunset Lawrence Arms - Oh! Calcutta! Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea
So there was this drunk walking down the street and walks up to this cop and he says, “Man, somebody stole my car.” Cop says, “Well, where was it?” Man says, “Right here on the end of this key.” Cop says,“I dunno man. Why don’t you head to the precinct house and report it there. They’ll get you filled out with all the right forms and papers.” Guy says, “Okay,” starts to walk off and the cop says, “Before you go downtown you’re gonna want to zip up your fly.” Guy looks down and goes, “Oh man, they got my girl, too.”
That's definitely my pick. But it's definitely not perfect for me. I pretty strongly dislike "In My Place" which I know a lot of people love. It gets insanely loud cheers at concerts when it starts up and I just don't understand. If that song wasn't on the album I think it would be pretty damn close to perfect.
