My recommendation is spend less on them than you are thinking. One of the most overpriced and least used purchases for a house.
Yea I'm not wanting to spend a ton. I am getting an outdoor tv and fireplace though so I do plan on using them.
I love that feeling of finding an item of clothing that just plain works. Depening on what it is, I'll go buy multiple of them and hope they last me for years to come, and no further shopping/discovering is required. My two favorites are Under Armour kilchis (3x) Spoiler or columbia royce peak pants (5x, multiple colors) Spoiler
My fiancé registered us there for our wedding... Holy shit it's outrageous. I now am the ashamed owner of a 500 dollar bedspread.
could be worse. The Milkman's couch purchase reminded me that a girl I grew up with in Louisiana who is now a Dallas socialite with an uberdouche husband registered only at Sur La Table and Restoration Hardware when she got married. I don't think there was a thing on her list for less than $200. She didn't get a gift from us.
Yea that couch was insane. We also registered at Bed bath and beyond and Target. We are having a fancy ass wedding at a Vineyard and I hate everything about it. She's insisting we have a couples shower but I got to plan it.. It's at a bowling alley and everyone is bringing best buy gift cards.
Yea I was pissed. But we are going to bowl and eat wings/subs/ice cream cake. Hopefully it's not too horrible.
looked through all of the couches at Nebraska Furniture Mart (praise be to buffet) but nothing stuck out to us now i gotta look through all this west elm and pottery barn stuff. quality workmanship/materials?
Buy it in the Fall when stores are liquidating to make room. Saved a lot doing that. Goes for most seasonal items really.
Yes and no. Even if you live somewhere conducive to patio weather chances are you will use it once a week, maybe. Compared to the amount of time you spend in your other living spaces it is generally small.
Anyone have the BeatsX earphones by chance? On sale at Best Buy today for $100, down from $150. I've been wanting some wireless headphones that would be better for working out but don't know anything about these
I have them. Great for working out. Sound quality works for me. Not sure how sounds quality stacks up to other headphones though.
they won't make an audiophile swoon, but they have their place. Kinda like Bose stuff. For 100 they'd be fine for work out gear.
Best outdoor rain gear available. I've got the jacket in crocodile and wolf and they'll outlast me. http://leaf.arcteryx.com/product.aspx?country=ca&language=EN&gender=mens&model=Alpha-Pant-Gen-2
No. He did say "good" though. Back to my post earlier this week, I like my alpha jackets for spending 14 hours in the rain sometimes. Wouldn't make sense for someone in the desert though.
Thanks for the suggestion, but you've lost your god damn mind if you think I'm dropping $415.16 American dollars on a pair of pants.
You're going to spend a lot to get genuinely "water proof." Your performance in this thread has consistently shown that price is more important to you than quality. Just get frog toggs and replace them every year or so.
Is the frog toggs shit decent? Saw it for the first time at gander mountain the other day. It's like 25 bucks for a jacket.
Exactly. Why spend money on pants when I can just use this or trash bags from my kitchen and get the job done
