Right, but they generally do have a common rate that just isn't published. It was 140k RT in 2015, then 160k through April 17, and now most flights on Partners are 190k, though some are much more. There were several articles in mid April that discuss it.
Do these bans include noise cancelling headphones? I could go without a tablet/laptop on a long flight even though it sucks, but going without my headphones would be terrible.
except that Virgin still operates flights without wifi. But guessing Alaska will remedy that once the merger is complete. Delta, out of the big domestics, is the best. Idk how wide or narrow that gap is, but Big Apple Duck is right.
I've enjoyed JetBlue but haven't flown them for years. Same with Alaska, but I haven't heard great things about them from friends and family who've flown them recently.
I've flown some awesome jet blue flights. Good shit. We can't get anecdotal and act like our experiences will distance the airlines above one another while the numbers say different
Pretty sure Jet blue has the best legroom in coach of US airlines as well. I remember reading somewhere it was 33-34 in while delta and united are 31 or 32. american is about to go down to 29-30. I would fly jetblue more often if they had more routes.
Agreed. Better to use data like this. There are better docs/reports, but this is the first one I see when I google. https://www.rita.dot.gov/bts/press_releases/bts018_16
Annoys the shit out of me that they only fly to Boston and JFK from PHX. Unless I'm going to either of those cities it's really not worth it to go anywhere on the east coast and it obviously eliminates the western destinations.
Was on a flight from Europe. Can confirm. Sidenote: Ryanair is a terrible flight but funny experience the first twenty minutes until you realize you're on the plane for another two hours. Also, Marrakech is a fun place.
Was in Marrakech and Casablanca a few weeks ago. Marrakech was an attack on the senses at first, but I warmed up to it. It was such a culture shock after having been in Europe for six weeks. Did you go on any excursions?
Anyone been to Faro, Portugal? How's the language barrier? I'm assuming trying to speak Spanish wouldn't go over well.
I'm sure it would go over fine. They know they share a border with spain Also, I'm sure they speak English
Eh...I was in a semi-tourist area of Spain a few months ago and it was about 40/60 on English speakers.
Not Faro, but recently went to Lagos. You can get by perfectly fine speaking English. Stay at the Rising Cock hostel and party your ass off.
Luckily my hostel had a bunch available. I went to Cascades d'Ouzoud and then rode camel back another day. Wish I had a few more days to do a couple more excursions.
I posted recently about my family's two week spain/portugal trip two years ago. We had no issues speaking English every single place we went except one restaurant in Cordoba. Even there, I think my sister is the only one who ordered something she didn't mean to. And that's just because none of us knew that a russian salad was a type of potato salad, not a green salad. Edit: She was also pregnant and hadn't told us, yet (didnt normally drink, anyway, so we didnt have that indication). So she flipped a shit when the mayonnaise and potato salad with shrimp on top was set down in front of her.
Girlfriend booked a snorkeling trip for us in the Silfra Fissure between the continental plates in Iceland. Fly out a week from today and I'm pretty pumped
I wish I had the time and the money to do that. I was just planning on looking at silfra when I'm there next month.
Yeah I wasn't too keen on the idea at first because of how expensive it is but we figured this could be our only opportunity ever so why not. We also planned it so that we are doing this early in the day and then we'll go do our own golden circle tour straight from there
I think I saw a few signs for the cascades, that the one with the zigzag trail down a ravine? Either way, a souk vendor tried to sell me an ugly bowl last night saying it would be good for eating couscous out of. Acted dumb and asked what couscous was. He couldn't explain it. So rest of the time I talked with another vendor and kept mentioning "the guy over there that breaks stuff doesn't know what couscous is" This guy, in blue.. It may have caught on with other vendors...
traveling to L.A. in mid-July. Wanting to spend most of our time near the water, save one night to see my Uncle perform at Second City Hollywood. Don't feel like sight-seeing the whole time and having to fight traffic. Is Malibu the play? Venice? Santa Monica?
Don't do malibu. Its beautiful but much harder to get into/out of and theres zero to do at night. My favorite beach area is Manhattan beach. Hermosa is also solid if you're looking for a younger, party scene. Santa Monica and Venice are definitely more busy and touristy if you're looking for that vibe.
It says the duration is 3 hours so I'm not positive how much of that time is in the water. It cost around $160 per person. I'm pretty excited and definitely going to try to get some pics in the water using the Lifeproof case
Seems pretty reasonable actually. A guided dive in a place like Hawaii or the Caribbean is going to run similar cost and wont be nearly as unique. I would have guessed double that cost. 3 hours has to be including transport and set-up, highly doubt they would do any more than one tank which would be about an hour.
Sorry, Open Carry is right, we're just doing snorkeling. I'd love to be certified and do the dive like was posted above
What are the things to watch out for when booking Spirit. I know they charge fees even for carry-ons right? Are they bad about running behind schedule?
They're late, planes suck, they nickel and dime you. Domestic appears to be worse than internstional from what I've seen. International seems fine
I was looking for flights to Denver before and that was out of ATL Now looking for a flight to Chicago. Sometime in June or July, leaving from somewhere within 3 hours of Columbia. Playing around with stuff on Google Flights
