I think St. Brown already said it was likely he wouldn't visit any out of state schools till official visits
the big thing here is that at this point, he plans to go to the Rivals 5 Star Challenge June 9th which is in Indianapolis...they are hoping he makes the trek North from there to go to Invasion on the 10th. Solomon Thomas did this a few years ago when the 5 Star challenge was in Chicago They are hoping tons of recruits make this trip
St. Brown has said that if he makes it to the 5 Star challenge then he will be at Irish Invasion the next day for sure- but his last day of school is the 9th so he wasnt sure if he was coming or not yet
I've said it before. If on the first catch of his season we don't flex with return of the Mack on our new giant ass speakers we haves failed and need to join the Ivy League.
Holy shit. Apparently paying dues as a kid and sitting through ND hoops games where McLeod would send out kids who literally had one leg is paying off.
Prentiss Hubb is a stud and a hell of a pick-up. My God, if we land a few big men that can play at a high level, this program could take the next leap. Are we in on anyone at this time? Also, any news on that potential 6'10'' transfer from UCONN?
Yeah DJ was higher but it's more exciting when the big time recruit is not from your backyard. Means you're a bit more legit ;)

Seriously after watching how everything worked if he had been on the level with his talent those teams would have been even more stacked.
For any local cubs fans that hate heyward as much as my friends do, he's on a rehab assignment in South bend tonight
Houston Griffith is picking up a lot of ND crystal balls on 247. That would be nice. Still pissed about Gervin a little bit. Think Griffith may end up at S.
It really is weird how nd can't land top corners with that depth chart and Todd lyght as the position coach
part of the problem seems to be Todd Lyght himself...i think he's going to be fine as a coach but it sounds like he doesn't want to put with the wishy washiness of kids today...Thomas Graham had silently committed to ND (by all accounts) and was all set to go until Lygt did something on a in home visit that just completely turned off the whole family Adebo was not lyght's fault though...that kid was going to stanford once he got offered and admitted
I'm progressing. All of the tubes and staples are out, now it's learning to function with this new bladder. The pathology reports have been great, so once my body fully heals, it's should be business as usual. Thanks for asking.
Hubb said a major factor in his decision was the new basketball facility opening his freshman year It's about time we got one
Good news on Kevin Austin This from the new guy at II Spoiler This morning, I received some intel from a source connected to one of the schools in Kevin Austin's top four. This source said that Notre Dame looks like the landing spot for Austin.
it also sounds like Thomas Booker is committing to ND though there is still concern that Stanford will offer last minute like they did with Adebo last year Austin and Booker would be huge commitments - top 100 type players and Booker is a huge position of need
Interesting the II guys weren't very positive in regards to Austin during their last podcast Thought he might look hard at Clemson since he just got that offer
Shamrock Secrets for Oline Spoiler We had a chance to talk to some sources that have given some insight into Notre Dame's offensive line recruiting for 2018. Notre Dame already has two players in the class, landing commitments from Brentwood (Tenn.) offensive tackle Cole Mabry and Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local offensive tackle John Dicksen. It's a down year nationally along the offensive line, which is why most of the recent offers have gone out to 2019 recruits. Notre Dame's staff has narrowed in on a small number of recruits. Some tidbits we've picked up: The Irish have two linemen very much at the top of their list. Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep offensive tackle Nick Petit-Frere is known as a top recruit, and the staff wants him badly. Offensive line coach Harry Hiestand was by to see Petit-Frere at his high school following Notre Dame's spring practice. A source very close to his recruitment told BGI that Notre Dame is a school that Petit-Frere is still heavily considering. That same source told us that in the next week or so, Petit-Frere will sit down with his family, take a look at his options, and move toward deciding on places he wants to make trips to in the coming summer months. We know that Petit-Frere left his first South Bend visit holding the Irish in high regard, and getting him on campus a second time would be a big win for the coaching staff. Expect a second visit to South Bend to happen this summer. Notre Dame would like to add a bit more athleticism to the tackle position, which is why Petit-Frere is the top priority on the outside. The surprise information we picked up during our various conversations was that Notre Dame is still making a hard push for Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy five-star guard Jamaree Salyer, the No. 9 player in the country. It's a down year nationally, but Salyer is a true standout. I saw him at The Opening last year and he was arguably the top blocker in attendance, despite being a year younger than everyone else along the OL. Salyer visited Notre Dame for Irish Invasion last June and its not a surprise the staff still wants him in the class and is making a push. The surprise is that Salyer has informed the staff he plans to make a second unofficial visit to Notre Dame, a visit that is expected to happen in late June. Notre Dame is still behind other schools like Georgia and Clemson, but the staff's persistence still has them in the mix. If Salyer does in fact make that second trip it will say a lot about his interest. A five-star player from Georgia making a second visit on his own dime isn't doing it because he likes the scenery. He is making it because his interest in the Irish program is legit. The staff will have to keep grinding in order to make that visit actually happen, but as of right now it is set to happen according to our sources. For awhile it seemed that Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett guard Warren Ericson was a player the staff could land. Recently he hasn't mentioned Notre Dame, and we finally found out why. After landing Dirksen the staff backed off Ericson in order to focus on tackles and of course, Salyer. Dirksen is a tackle prospect and the staff likes him on the outside, but he has the physicality and style to play guard if there is a need there and if the staff continues to land more tackles in the class. Dirksen's versatility allowed the staff to back off Ericson. At this point the staff would be fine with just three linemen, assuming the third is one of the top players on the board. They aren't going to expand the board a great deal unless there are players with impact potential down the road. Expect more 2019 OL offers to go out over the next several months than 2018 OL offers. If he comes in June, that will actually be the third time Salyer has visited ND on his own dime...he came for a Junior Day last year, then Invasion.
