Who said it did? I just always get a good chuckle out of that, and the gist of the conversation made me think of it.

Borussia Dortmund are ready to battle Tottenham for the signing of Freiburg forward Maximilian Philipp. The 23-year-old bagged nine goals last season and is reportedly ready to move on during the summer transfer window. Tottenham have been linked with the German, while he is also on the radar of RB Leipzig. However, according to Kicker, Dortmund are now ready to swoop for Philipp after Marco Reus picked up another injury. The Germany international suffered a partial ligament tear in his knee, during the German Cup last month, and he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines as he could now be out until October. Dortmund are now on the hunt for a replacement and they have identified Philipp, who has a reported release-clause of £17.5m. Yeah I read that too, not surprising with Africans. Then they said they delay was due to something different, cant remember what it was. 20 is his "listed" age. EDIT: Found it: Calciomercato.com believes the issue was related to the Ivorian’s knee cartilage, so further, more specific, tests were carried out today. The website now reports that Kessié passed those examinations, and will take the final part of his medical at Milan Lab tomorrow.

Griezmann is staying. New contract till 2021 with a 100m euros release clause. Atletico looking at Costa, Sandro and Vitolo as possible targets. They cannot register players till the winter window. http://en.as.com/en/2017/06/02/football/1496415816_542053.html
He had a knee injury that Milan knew about. But the first set of test made them want to dig deeper into the issue. The age thing is BS and typical italian newspaper speculation
Mourinho undid a lot of great work in the transfer market when he came back to Chelsea. I think Salah's a great player, and it annoys me to see him going to Liverpool.
Lots of talk that Virgil is coming to City for £60 million. Also that he will be the highest paid defender in the world at £200k wages
Stones was £50m, £60m for Virgil, £39m for Otamendi (they owed us about £25m for Negredo though so total exchange was much less), £26.5m for Mangala so about £190m on CBs the last 4 Summers. We haven't spent any on fullbacks which has been the bigger issue but it sounds like £40m for Mendy is happening
y'all trotting out washed up Arsenal fullbacks for the past few years has been the most perplexing thing to me in the league.
At least Sagna was good 2015-16. How we then rolled out the same 4 fullbacks this season though I don't understand

SugarShaun what are y'all hearing about VVD? All the Liverpool people on Twitter are saying he wants to play for Klopp and we expect to get him. So City should announce they signed him any moment I'm guessing.
Saw that this morning and was completely confused. Also they are saying that Salah will be signed by this Friday.
We are after him pretty hard as well. Chelsea business (actual deals that ended up happening) have not leaked much as of late so no one really knows what we are doing. All I know is it seems like VVD has a big money offer on the table from Liverpool and very big money offers from Chelsea and city. His dad came out and said it isn't all about the money though so I guess we will see which way he leans. Whoever lands him will significantly boost their team going into next season. Would think city become clear favorite if they land VVD and mendy.
Still trying to figure out what PSGs strategy is in general. Their European strategy seemed to be strong midfield, good defense and then let zlatan do zlatan things. You can argue the plan but there at least was one. I look at who PSG are signing and don't get it. Last year they got draxler, Jesé, Ben arfa, and krychowiak. The year before that di Maria and the 2 fullbacks make sense but then someone like stambouli from Tottenham just doesn't make sense. just seems like a team in transition with no direction. Probably why Monaco were able to beat them to the title this year.
