If it wasnt a 6 hour drive I would go and play an event or 2. Drove to Jacksonville last night after work to play 2/5. Easiest game ever, left +1k
Who's in the field? The usual suspects? I saw Kevin Hart was doing it. The Vegas guys must love a new whale.
Anybody here watch Doug Polk's videos? He was at the feature table for the One Drop yesterday sitting next to Negreanu and whipped out a "More rake is better" shirt before they started playing
Do you play on Ignition? I was always Bodog/Bovada but haven't played in a year or so online. Finally in our new house and have my setup back and looking to play again. I've never used Bitcoin but is this the safest/best way to move money?
A random Poker Night in America from a year ago popped up on my youtube recommendations, one of the players is an associate or made guy from the Philly Mob. No idea how he was allowed in the casino.
I know it's a weird contrast considering I love gambling, but I'm not putting any money on a site until there's a firm ruling either federally or in my state. Either MAY happen before I die.
would really like Florida to approve it. But If it happens we will probably be one of the last considering the amount of casinos and card rooms in my state
Pennsylvania just took a step to legalize online. Hopefully they are next in line. I've played for years. I'll never play high stakes online but I have won/cashed in my share of $10 - $50 buy in MTTs.
well well there you are . since how long have you been whoring out TMB posts to rivals and 247 sports on people who were banned from there ? and do not say anything contrary cause when you went confefe urban dictionary and google paid a viisit and opened all the doors to me .
since the chan plea in 2010 ???????? lets see that was dec 6 2010 ? right ? you know I remember more than you forgot . better go get JW to cover you , huh ? or big pig or vt smity .
Where does everyone play online now? Any sites with apps? Haven't played online in years but wouldn't mind playing a little.
Ignition (new skin used to be Bovada/Bodog) and Winning Poker Network (skins are America's Cardroom, Black Chip poker, True poker), there are a few other minor players, but these two have the largest player pool and best history as far as not being fly by night, paying out in a timely manner. Largest player pool is also a relative term. http://pokerscout.com/
Anybody keeping up with the WSOP? Ike Haxton and Daniel Negreanu both in the top 5 of the $50k HORSE event going into ITM play today.
Watch him stream from time to time. Entertaining guy who is definitely a bit full of himself and his ability. Some monstrously bad punts that even a terrible player like me can see coming from a mile away, but he always seems to ship a big tournament every couple months to make it all back
He's a hellacious cash game player, especially HU, and sometimes has trouble transitioning that game to tourney situations. Agree he's a bit full of himself. #coolstorybro but we both FT'd a small stakes tourney years and years ago and I didn't know until recently it was him. Small world in poker, I guess.
I've been following pretty closely all summer. Really like the PokerGO coverage. Except that they don't appear to be covering this final table.
Met a bama fan at the Price is Right last year that's a pro, Eric Fields. Looks like he's cashed in 2 events at the WSOP. Any way to see if he's entered in the ME?
Pokernews.com keeps a pretty good chip count on everybody. https://www.pokernews.com/tours/wsop/wsop-2017/event-73-main-event-world-championship/chips.htm Might be a chore if you don't know which day 1 he's in though.
Looks like it's a no-go for Ivey, even though I know he's in Vegas. Guess it's hard to get away from the cash games.
Yeah, it's hard to blame him. Dwan's the same way except for the whole Triad slave thing. Before the boom, that was how most of the Bobby's Room regs were about tournaments. Even Doyle went like a decade without playing the ME.
In college we had poker league, cash games every Sunday for more than two years. I haven't played since then but what helped me in strengthening my game was - Looking at my (two cards) hand once. Memorization was key for me. This way, I could spend time observing everyone else and their bets, folds, etc. instead of players who are constantly glancing at their cards, or checking their cards whenever it's their turn to call, raise, fold.
Couple former November Niners in the lineup. One of the guys who final tabled last year was the FT bubble boy this year.
Don't know if anyone else was watching the cash game on twitch. Polk ran it up for about 200k over 8 hours then lost it all plus another 120k in the final ten minutes. Just an absolute meltdown.
My vegas trip just got cancelled bc of Irma. No poker for me until this thing passes. Had a dealer telling me he dealt a 10/20 PLO high low game a couple weeks ago and pushed a $102k pot. That's crazy. I'm happy with my $200 pots on $2/5 NL
I play at this place all the time and know the dealers and management. Wasn't BS. All of them vouched for it and said the game was crazy as they didn't have a max buy in. Had people buying in for $30,000.
One of the best poker rooms in the country imho. Big comfortable chairs, 2 USB ports per seat, shake shack table side, good action. Played $1-3 NLHE, ran up $300 to a little over $1k in 4.5hrs.
