I hope I'm not counting my chickens too soon, but Nantes are sitting 7th in the Ligue 1 table with one match remaining. What an amazing turnaround this season. Back in Nov/Dec we were in the relegation zone. We fired our coach and hired Sérgio Conceição and he turned everything around. We just extended his contract until 2020 too.

I fully expect other squads to sniff around our young talent again this summer, but man, if we can hold on to this crew and pick up a veteran or two, next season could be really exciting.

Good to see someone besides PSG win the league this year.

7 different teams have won Ligue 1 in the past 10 years. Pretty competitive league even with the Arab money PSG have.

Why did PSG change their shirt sponsor? Looks like a Mexican league kit now.

Welp, I spoke too soon. Our manager left to become the manager of Porto. But, we did just agree in principle with Ranieri!!

Pretty solid group of managers in Ligue 1 now that Ranieri and Bielsa have joined.

I will miss Conceição and wish him well at Porto, but I'm over the moon with Claudio.

I always try to watch when I can. Just depends on how work is rolling. If I am home I get to watch a ton, but I was on site most of last season.

I find myself getting excited when Lemar does something well and then immediately disappointed when I remember how Arsenal like to dither in the transfer window.

I was impressed with Rabiot although he needs to play a bit deeper. Also really like Kimpembe when he came on.

Edit: Pastore had a great match which is weird because he is most likely who Neymar will replace and may be sold.

That's where I struggle the most when I watch the league. Amiens was just promoted so how bad are they? Similar to when I watch Arsenal line up against Norwich or you guys against Eibar. I mean I have seen the fourth place club looks worse than Amiens against PSG and just get shredded. Obviously PSG is a good side.

Also, side note I hear what you are saying with the Edit, but the thing is they obviously don't need to sell shit as long as we keep driving cars or flying. And by we I mean human beings. Crazy as it sounds, I could see them gettting in on some of the Neymar fallout.

Last but not least bullshit on the Lyon match having technical difficulties.

Just realized I posted the Dembele thing in the wrong thread. Oops.

Nantes got curb stomped by Lille. To be fair, Lille is a much improved squad. I could see them finishing in the top 10 this yr after a few years in the bottom half.

Lille could be pretty formidable if they can keep hold of Bielsa. I'll be intrigued to see how long he will stay there.

No, I'm not. Neymar could have 80 goals in ligue 1 and means nothing.

I'll pay attention if Monaco keep Lemar/Mbappe/Fabinho or CL is the only thing that matters with the french teams.

I hope it brings more attention to Ligue 1 but I probably won't go out of my way to watch PSG. I will watch Marseille and Monaco as long as they have Mbappe/Lemar. But I am not watching PSG unless they are playing one of the top teams in the league.
