I think in most years yes but everyone is always a bit more concerned about playing time in a World Cup year.

If he doesn't then LFC will probably fuck something up and can take some of the page space.

I think you were the one who brought it up but Bayern negotiated a release clause for gnabry when Bremen bought him last summer? Was there something fishy with the transfer itself or is this just a smart move by Bayern that no one else is really doing yet?

I wonder if paying money to a team to have first purchase opportunity becomes similar to the trend that we are seeing of selling your own players with a buyback clause that wasn't the norm 2-3 years ago but seems to be now.

Everyone taps up but Liverpool seem to have decided that they want to test the boundaries of how far to take it. Certainly a bizarre start to the window for them. As long as there are no issues with the solanke transfer you guys got a really good one though. Might not be next season but he's a very good young striker.

Beyond him, I meant that given the way we're operating right now we are bound to fuck up again and I don't think it's that we are pushing boundaries. I'm not sure our front office knows all the rules that well. Solanke would be a solid purchase for any squad right now.

I have no idea what exactly it was but Bremen and Bayern have both consistently denied any sort of arrangement. Best guess is Bayern thought Arsenal would up the price a lot if Bayern was buying so they made an arrangement with Bremen.

When Mini Raiola gets a 60,000 euro fine by fifa for his role in making over 40 million in the Pogba deal, you know the whole regulation process is a fucking joke.

I am sure Gunners would concur that 21 is wayyy low for Eric Dier. There can't possibly be 20 more valuable players on Earth.

Would you sell at 30? Lots of money for a GK, Man City's business aside.

Young guy at a position where you can typically rely on stability who is primed to be the future England number 1. Might seem like a bit much but I think that's a good move.

Mignolet was better last season, to be fair. And tapping up Fraser Forster is no longer an option.

Just depends on which Mignolet shows up next year and if Karius can develop a little more.

Pickford going for 30 is a lot of money. But he is good and there's the English inflation.

He's also 4 years younger than Szczesny, has elite distribution skills, and if all goes well you likely get to keep him as your #1 keeper for 10+ years.

Also a lot of reports that Tolisso to #Bayern Munich is a done deal and he is on his way to Munich for a medical

    EDIT: Looks confirmed now

So he will most likely be the next Real Madrid keeper whenever they decide they want him. At least that's what the clause tells me

The clause is rumored to be 50m and can only be activated if Milan don't qualify for Champions League this season. I have a hard time believing this roster won't finish top 4 next year but you never know
