All episodes on 7-21 Starring Jason Bateman in a serious role. I'll give it a shot since it's about cartels and shit. Storyline The Byrdes and their teenage kids, Charlotte and Jonah, are, for all intents and purposes, an ordinary family with ordinary lives. Except for the job of Marty, a Chicago financial advisor who also serves as the top money launderer for the second largest drug cartel in Mexico. When things go awry, Marty must uproot his family from the skyscrapers of Chicago and relocate to the lazy lake region of the Missouri Ozarks. Written by Netflix
Real solid so far..Some breaking bad correlations though. Daughter is hot..Glad she isn't really 15 yrs old
Thru 3 episodes. Has a very long way to go, and very likely will never get there, to be on the level of Breaking Bad, but I can certainly see the parallels.
I like playing the "Find where the 4 pictographs shown in the 'O' at the beginning are throughout the episode" game.
I didn't really pay attention to them until a few eps in. I thought that shot of bateman's character on the trampoline near the end was great, in a related matter.
I have 2 episodes left. Was very confused by the 8th episode in terms of the ordering of time. It was my least favorite episode. I almost wish it occurred earlier.
Just finished. Liked it a lot. Yes, it was ridiculous and it feels like there is no legitimate reasonable way out, but I still enjoy it. Reminds me of a cross between Breaking Bad, Banshee, Ray Donovan, and Bloodlines.
Not quite. I can think of at least one that is miles ahead of them. So cringe inducing. Do you guys even read what you have written before posting?
I have no quarrel with you sir ( ) I'd just say that the Snells fit in Rayland's world as well as any non-Justified villain I've seen since that show ended. Surprise heroin injection from the significant other? cmon.
Mags Bennett is probably my fav one-off character for any TV show for any season. Apple pie moonshine > surprise heroin injection.
Watched it. Liked it. Read an article where the producer wants to do 5 seasons. Not sure it could hold up that long. While good, it's not close to Breaking Bad.
good series. dont think the daughter is hot. the ruth actress does an amazing job. i dont see the hate for the daughter/mom that someone mentioned earlier in the thread. gonna be really curious to how the cartel handles finding out that Dell is missing/dead. i wonder if that's the last we'll see of the resort owner that fled with some cash and how much she actually took?
I can't picture not seeing the resort owner again. She was pretty attractive too. Yes, Ruth was great and the family in general was interesting and I liked their characters.
Can't believe he didn't screw her when she was in the office with the beer. When she told him he had her hopes up. She was definitely fishin' for a dick.
At least she is trying to get shit done instead of bitching about every damn thing. Though her bitching is probably justified, it doesn't make it any less annoying.
I hated her as well but she grew on me. Spoiler I lost it when he spanked her. Also when she obtained the funeral home.
Would like to make it an episode without some gay shit going on, other than that very good show so far.
