Now I am learning it is on in American on ESPN. God damn it I need a fire wall on my DIRECTV and Mexico needs to pay for it
I've bought a ton of them over the years though many times as part of a group. Pretty much every major fight in the 90s to early 2000s. Then some after as well. That's why I never feel guilty streaming one for free, I've paid my dues.
Garcia said at 135 he'd like to unify with Linares if it's doable. At 140 he said he'd love to fight the Crawford-Indongo winner but knows there are often promotional issues. He said he will not wait for anyone. He said any top guy should call his team if they're serious about fighting. Dan Rafael, ESPN Senior Writer
Welterweight contender Shawn Porter will be featured on a two-fight FOX show immediately before the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor card on August 26, according to an industry source. Porter will face Thomas Dulorme in the main event. There is no word yet on the second fight. Porter could fight Danny Garcia in the fall, but he’s looking to stay sharp after fighting only once in 2015. The 29-year-old last fought in April, when he stopped Andre Berto on Showtime. Dulorme was once a highly regarded prospect, but the Puerto Rican has since suffered stoppage losses to Luis Carlos Abregu and Terence Crawford. The card is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
Massive knockdown by Ortiz, then a couple more big shots. Good performance but against an overmatched guy.
Really hope boxing doesn't manage to fuck up a potential Joshua-Wilder superfight but I'm sure something will happen.
anthony joshua is seriously not very good. then again, wilder is just the poor man's hasim rahman or maybe the deluxe hasim rahman its hard to tell.
Good compared to what? All-time HW's? Sure. Compared to modern-era HW's? Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz, etc all pretty talented. And fun. I'll take that, given how boring the HW division has been for so long.
compared to anyone. he's very limited in virtually every aspect except power. He would have been stopped in 5 by 2012 klitshcko. He would have been a fringe contender in a more loaded era.
basically, anthony joshua is the guy that the next great heavyweight is going to turn to mincemeat and make his name on. A future trevor berbick. now we just need a future mike tyson.
Shit. Tony Thompson went six rounds with Wlad in 2012. Joshua's better than Tony fucking Thompson. And AJ's only 27, he's not done developing as a fighter. Let's see where he goes from here.
Tonight. I like the main event a good bit. ESPN, 9:00 pm ET, Mauricio Herrera vs Jesus Soto Karass, Vyacheslav Shabranskyy vs Todd Unthank-May. The main event here is very veteran, while the co-feature has Shabranskyy still shaking the cobwebs of his loss to Sullivan Barrera, which as we know more and more about Barrera, is hardly anything that writes Shabranskyy off as a serious prospect.
Shabranskyy's really talented offensively. The defense is a problem though, although May doesn't seem to have the power to really make it matter here.
