Yikes. If Barca somehow manages to pull Dembele and Coutinho, that would be insane. Really doubt they could get both, but stranger things have happened.
True, I thought that when I posted. I'm sure I shouldn't press my luck with the situation, so we'll see.
Apparently Milan have a deal done with Aubameyang but BVD are asking 80m for him and Milan are unwilling to match that price... Curious what happens with Barca loaded with money how this may change the market for Milan
If he develops into one of those top players I will be curious to see what kind of premium he gets placed on him as the only great American. The sport hasn't completely taken off in the US but it is expanding at an alarming rate and I would imagine all the big names will line up to overpay for the one actual star from the US.
Hell if I know, but I assume there's a reason when he says those clubs won't sell to them 'out of principle'
hmm, I don't really think his American-ness is going to inflate his value in Europe. He might = a little more of a following in the US, but not enough to drastically change his value. imo.
I could have the wrong team off the top of my head, but I want to say Southampton accused Liverpool of tampering or something of that sort in regards to VVD
They're obviously well within their right to play hard ball, especially Leipzig, with them being in the CL. If those deals could have gone down quicker, I wouldn't have too big a problem with selling Phil this window.
Dembele apparently wants to leave and took Dortmund off his twitter profile. Getting Dembele and Coutinho for less than Neymar got paid would be a hell of a deal
American market still relatively untapped. I think the average American who will get into the sport will pick the team with the one stud American on it. If he is simply good I am not sure how much it inflates his value but if he gets into that discussion of being a top 20 or top 25 player in the world and becomes the first true European star from the US I think there is a lot of marketability and value in that. The US tours show how much these clubs want to get in deep in the US
Bale starts for Real Madrid in the super cup. Does that mean bale is cup tied for champions league? I believe so which would make a transfer this summer less likely.
PSG to offer 80m pounds for Alexis Sanchez: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...s-saint-germain-manchester-city-a7882726.html
Some writers were hinting it did Cup-tie but the journalists in this sport are a fucking joke so it doesn't surprise me
Since this thread is into stupid shit these days, is Coutinho a top 30 player in the world? I say definitely not.
I think he is about to take that next step where he is. He doesn't score enough on a regular basis but it looked like that was finally improving.
I don't think coutinho is in dembele's league. Not even close when you consider the age difference. I didn't realize I would have to specify. I could see someone who only watches YouTube videos thinking coutinho is a god because he scores some incredible goals but he doesn't impact a game like a guy worth half as much as they are talking.
If we just gave away Alexis to PSG I might boycott Arsenal this year. Just keep him and pay the man what he's worth for god's sake
