Apparently ousmane dembele has removed Dortmund from his instagram bio. Unfortunately in 2017 that is considered breaking news.
True. But I asked ChileanNole about it and he shared this article (which obviously can be true or false): If that truly is the language in the contract then he violated the first two clauses.
yea, I'm not saying whether he's going to win the lawsuit. I haven't read the contract. just saying him getting transferred after the threshold date will have no bearing no matter what logic tells you.
yep... 1m for the signing... 1m per game started. I don't hate the deal. He won't be ready till after the winter break. Who knows if he will have a significant impact. If he doesn't he rides the bench. If he does its well worth it in the short run.
Milan seems to be a bit desperate for forward... and he may be desperate for a team who is willing to bring him on now.
That would fuck up the market a lot more than Neymar's deal. We know he's sick but he's a winger that may never be a great goal scorer, quite the weight on Dembele's back too with the crazy Barca fans.
He reminds me of hazard in the way he plays and his ability to create for others. I think the goals will come over time but you are spot on with the expectations. I still don't think hazard is ruthless enough and he doesn't have a crazy transfer fee/crazy Barca fan expectations to deal with.
The only way we sell is if Coutinho throws a fit and publicly comes out and request it and this is so out of his character. If that doesn't happen Barca is wasting their time.
Also Lewis baker is apparently waiting on a central midfield signing to go to a premier league club. My guess is Bournemouth but I hate that he can't have a preseason with them because we are just holding his move hostage until the board signs a backup
Looks like Danny Rose is begging one of the big clubs to come in for him. I don't blame him after watching walker double rose in pay with the move to city but bizarre timing to do it 2 days before the season starts.
Dembele not at training today. Le Parisien claiming a deal has been agreed between clubs for 130m euros and the player will sign a 5-yr deal at 10m euros a year (double what makes at Dortmund): http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/jou...-va-battre-des-records-10-08-2017-7185480.php
Liverpool fans can feel free to quote me down the road if I am wrong but I think it's a mistake to turn down that kind of money for coutinho. I might haggle for a bit more if I am them and they can probably get Barca to pay but that is a massive overpay even in this market. I just don't see coutinho soliciting that kind of money (relative to the market) in the coming years.
If Barca really want him, they'll get him. LFC can also make their club much better with that kind of cash. I completely get wanting to keep him, though.
I get what you're saying and I could be wrong here, but I think between the timing, potential CL, and belief that we have a chance at the PL we're looking for one more year out of him. The belief being that he will illicit very close to the same amount in a year's time at which Klopp tries again at Pulisic.
Right now getting through Hoffenheim and onto UCL group stage (hopefully playing well) is worth more than anything Coutinho could bring from Barca. In addition to further improvement in the EPL standings this year. We can't do that without him. It wouldn't make sense for us.
Dembele saga, official statement from #Borussia Dortmund: Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA ("BVB") has held a talk with the Catalan football club FC Barcelona regarding the possible transfer of the BVB player Ousmane Dembélé ("player") to FC Barcelona. During this meeting, the representatives of FC Barcelona submitted a bid which did not correspond to the player's extraordinary footballing and other value and not to the present economic market situation of the European transfer market. BVB therefore rejected this offer. As there is no other offer from FC Barcelona to date, there is currently no transfer of the player to FC Barcelona and this is not currently likely.

...and Spurs have still yet to sign a single player. But don't worry, we're lining up a power move for Southampton's 3rd string keeper!
