Another great Bowden article with the same detective https://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2010/12/vanishing-blonde-201012
Side note and it's random and there is already a thread on it. Anyhow this guy is incredibly detailed and a fantastic writer. Reminds me of my favorite author David Halberstam. He has a few baseball books out and other non fiction writings. If you like this style of writing, Halberstam is Bowden times 100000. Level of detail is fucking remarkable and I always wondered how he did it.
Good read but not enjoyable. I worked in that area many years which made it less than enjoyable than normal.

Thanks for spoilers. Maybe I wanted to hope she got murdered too as I enjoyed my coffee and ignored work for a few minutes? Ever think of that? Probably not!
Real good thanks. My favorites were this, "He called her a crook on Yelp. He had once coaxed naked photos out of her, and now he posted them to her nephew’s Facebook page. He texted her that he knew where she was when she picked up her grandchild." and When he set her Jag on fire with all the windows closed. and The fact that it runs in the family. He sister's husband only got 5 years for murder. Literally would see him at football games at the high school. What the fuck?

I've read it twice and each time it hit me right in the feels. That's the kind of friend I think most of us hope we are
If you are also interested in books and liked the Silk Road article, check out American Kingpin by Nick Bolton. Fascinating book. Also, like a creeper, I had to go to google and see what all these characters in the book looked like, but I can't find Ross' original GF, Julia Ives. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31920777-american-kingpin
logic - ? I have used it for how many years against the ignorance of the verbage ? . I am over debateing the issue ..
Same, I sent this to my Apple fanboy friend as a prompt to get him to DL this for me. Instead I ended up getting fanboy'd and heard about the watch (which by the way has outsold the iPod), iPads and a few other features and shit. Not here to start a war, I don't care what kind of phone anyone reading this uses. The was simply to laugh at my failure. Thanks.
Really cool article about a female blue singer in the 1930s who recorded 1 time, made several great songs and then disappeared https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/04/13/magazine/blues.html
