I haven't read the books but I never understood the tyrion being a targ theory. This was just a cool way of resolving who would fly the third dragon.
Sansa deserves just as much blame as Jon. She allowed Jon and his forces to go into an unwinnable battle while knowing she had the Vale's support. She got a lot of people unnecessarily killed.
In the books at times I believe Tyrion's hair was described as being almost white like a Targaryen's which also helped fuel that theory a little bit.
-Aerys had a thing for Tywin's wife and possibly fucked her. -Tyrion's mom died giving birth(Like Jon and Dany's) -Tyrion's fascination with dragons. -Tywin hating Tyrion I thought he was a Targ for quite a while, but it seems unlikely at this point.
The night king would have won some gold medals with those javelin skills. I just don't know what Country he would represent.
just finished. It was entertaining basically sums up my thoughts, think that's basically the standard for the show now IMO.
Yeah I've been vocal if my support of this season but the raven/Jon fighting the wights for seemingly no reason/and Benjen (Benjen And Jon deserved a better moment imo) all had me kinda rolling my eyes. I've watched again to try and see if I'm overreacting but the entire sequence of events and how they play out on screen is just cringey bad.
I agree with this. They could have had Benjen pull Jon out of the water after everyone had left or they could have had Benjen come in when they were fighting the bear. Unless nothing really happens to Benjen, meaning can he die again?
Just had a thought. They seem to be telegraphing LF going down next week. What if LF was setting them up, he kills Sansa, makes it look like Arya did it. Everybody saw Arya show up, demonstrate her training in the courtyard, then she was arguing with Sansa on the balcony. The last time everybody saw the dagger Arya had it. So Sansa would be dead and Arya would be held captive. Then he tries to take WF before Jon gets back. He was whispering something with a few other lords, and now that Jon is about to bend the knee to a Targ, some others might not want to follow him. Probably not, but could happen.
Yeah. It just seems anticlimactic for LF to go down so obviously after everything he has done. But, we are at the point where the show can't spend time on these things anymore, so he will probably just go down.
idk. I don't think that is true, I think he is just using her. Hell he might want revenge against the whole Stark family for "taking" Cat from him when he was younger. We shall see.
Timeline didn't add up for Tyrion to be Aerys' son. Joanna had not left the Rock in at least a year before giving birth to Tyrion
"How did a mad fucker like you live this long." "I'm good at killing people." Great line and I bet the Hound could appreciate that.
Same here. I would have been furious if one of my friends spoiled it for me and even more angry if the internet did. I texted a few of my diehard friends and told them about it. Only one so far has said they'll risk it and wait til Sunday.
We have fire dragons, ice dragons....all we need now is: Spoiler MOTHER FUCKING LUCKDRAGONS!! Calling it now....Atreyu is the Prince Who was Promised. This show is a continuation of The Neverending Storyverse.
Man, rewatching the scene on the frozen lake and when Viserion went down, Rhaegal just noped the fuck out of there. It was like Bronn saying his partnership with Jaime ends at dragons. Rhaegal's responsibilities in that situation ended at magical fucking ice spears being thrown by a 10,000 year old dude with a cannon for an arm.
Was in same boat amd pulled trigger, gave my sister why I did it yesterday. She sent screenshot this morning on Facebook people talkimg about dragon turning.
the pacing/timing of the show is so out of whack now to me. They spent so much time in earlier seasons really delving into each storyline and had so many filler episodes. Now they are trying to wrap it up and just seems like throwing shit together. Don't know if they just spent too much time early on or if it's because they don't have the books to go off of. was it really necessary to have two episodes in a row with someone being thrown into the water seemingly with 0 chance of survival to just emerge?
Agree with most on here. Was entertained but obvious drop in the timing/development/whatever you want to call it. Also, does the ice dragon still spew fire? Never really thought about an undead ice dragon before tbh.
Same here. Some dick posted the ice dragon on twitter and I got really mad and watched. My only issue is why did they not bring some dragon glass with them? They had a whole mountain of it and they knew they were going beyond the wall.
I don't even think I know the difference lol White walkers are the ones that control the wights, right? If so then yeah I guess the glass wouldn't have helped too much.
they did bring dragonglass the fuck were you guys watching? I mean did you not notice everybody but Jon and Beric fighting with basically daggers and hatchets well Tormund had a axe made out of it and it was awesome
Oh I didn't even notice if it was dragon glass. The picture quality wasn't really great and I just assumed they were normal weapons.
I first noticed when Jorah ran up and killed that huge fucking bear with a little ass dagger. Then the Hound throwing down the hammer only to pull out a little hatchet and it all clicked
I thought that was more about things about to get much more close quarters than wanting to switch to dragonglass. But yeah, pretty much everyone had some dragonglass daggers and I think the random people with them (ie. the guy who fell into the group of wights and was torn apart) had dragonglass spears. That shit is fucking lame and exactly why I told any of my technologically inclined friends/family to watch ASAP and my not so technologically inclined, older family to just stay off Facebook until after they watch on Sunday.
he threw down the hammer right after that Wight he smashed in the head got back up so I assumed he realized it was ineffective
I finally unfollowed him probably 1-2 months ago. I was wondering who it was since I figured it was some OSU or just general recruiting/sports-related person.
Damn, I was totally oblivious to them using dragonglass. I assumed the Hound threw the hammer because he was in close-quarter combat and found it ineffective. Him pulling out a dragonglass dagger is far more logical. Needless to say, I'm excited to watch this on TV on Sunday.
